I currently have a limit of budget (only $450, can't do higher than that), thank you a million for answering anyway! You're really helping me.

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2024typical apple fanboy lying you dont own xiaomi 14t buddy Just because another person doesn't share the same views as yours doesn't make them a fanboy. Let us be real. Xiaomi has had a bad reputation through the years and consumers still pick Xiaomi because of their attractive pricing in the low to mid-range segment. But now that they're removing basic stuff like charging bricks makes them look like income-first type of manufacturer.

Xiaomi may be able to do the same but do note that Xiaomi has a terrible firmware update service probably because they have too many phones to take care of in terms of software so they really struggle in releasing updates. I personally would recommend at this price range the Honor 200 Pro which has better overall performance, better overall cameras and outstanding software support. Plus, MagicOS is one the cleanest Android skins which means it doesn't have much bloatware and the UI is smooth and fast unlike other skins like Vivo's FuntouchOS or Xiaomi's HyperOS.

            - Some notifications are delayed.
            - The camera isn't great but I barely use that anyway.
            - The speakers lack bass and balance in volume (main speaker is louder).
            - the adaptive battery setting is limiting charging capacity without showing the real battery level, resulting in terrible battery life (can be turned off).
            - USB 2.0
            - no updates at all (every 4-6 months since release)

This is all with hyperOS and the 14T has pretty much identical hardware. I don't play games and have it on 60Hz refresh rate.

I had files deleted by themselves as well, mainly recently added ones. It's better to backup everything regularly, but again USB 2.0 is not great for that.

I would say for the best software experience you have to go with Samsung. I have problems with my eyes which is why I can't go back. They use screens with very low PWM frequencies giving me headaches.

I had a lot too, ... moreI forgot what series i used back then, however the phone suddenly stopped working and died like literally abruptly, i tried to get it to service center only to discovered that the price was the same to its phone😅 i used that Xiaomi for about 2 years, in any case, Xiaomi wasn't really giving me a good experience, like the storage was always full for no reason (though i was only using it for photos and videos, i wasn't into gaming at all that time), i attempted to clear the cache and removed almost 700 photos from 1.500 photos (i removed all of the videos too, i didn't have any games app or social media besides WhatsApp and it barely used 100 mb), also there was a lot of lags. Overall i may give Xiaomi 6,5/10, since i couldn't recall any other pros and cons from my Xiaomi hehe (it was from years ago), anyway what's your experience with being a Xiaomi user? Do you mind giving me the details of it?

Is Vivo V40 really capable of being an all rounder phone and last maybe 3-4 years? Since many people say that the specifications of Vivo V40 are kind of underspecs, seeing that it still uses ufs 2.2 and snapdragon 7 gen 3, and the camera video sometimes stutters moreover having a curved screen which makes it not really recommended for gaming stuff and a bit pricey to fix it if the screen broke or worse has a green line on it. In any case, i really like the design of Vivo and its camera! I wanna go for it but the specifications are somewhat not really worth the price, and for Xiaomi 14T, the specifications are really top-level and i also admire the camera but the design is.. not really my type, besides, i had a kind of bad experience being a Xiaomi user back then, maybe it was a different series, but still I'm a little scared to go for Xiaomi again:( anyway I'm only up to $450 so I'll get Xiaomi for 512 gb and Vivo for 256 gb. Please kindly help me to decide, also sorry for the long reply!

Bottomline, the camera of the 14T is underwhelming as per recent reviews. Shots are too dark and dynamic range is not the best in class. Video and photo in low light aren't good too as expected because of the decision of Xiaomi to got with the IMX906 which isn't a good sensor as proven in the Samsung A55 5G. If you want better cameras go for either the Honor 200 Pro or Vivo V40.

It may have been released late but the the OEM manufacturers like Xiaomi has already used the same chipset with the X6 Pro last year while the SD7 Gen 3 was first utilized by Vivo on the V30 this year and most recently on the Honor 200 and other manufacturers like Motorola etc.

Couldn't even take a decent macro shots and even the Vivo V30 would eat its camera for lunch. Battery life of the 13T is mediocre due to the power hungry chipset though I really liked the stereo speakers which was loud and crisp.

The chipset never lags and im sure it can handle most games. I wish the battery lasts a bit longer, but the fast charging complements.

Does anyone have ever used Xiaomi T series or Vivo V series before? I need your experience and how did you use your phone please. I really am need a phone that will last at least 5 years. So anybody has advice which one should i take? Please reply with the pros and cons of both phones, thank you in advance!

If this phone is able to go 4x zoom losslessly, why cant the 13t do so too? Talking about the hardware side of the telephoto lens, the 14t is of course better than the 13t but it isnt much different, it has the same resolution and slightly bigger sensor. Maybe it has limitations or omnivision dosent support in resolution zoom? i need a definitive answer.

Also, you're totally wrong about the 14T's SoC being less powerful lol. The 14T's Dimensity 8300 chip SoC has roughly 25% faster CPU performance and 125% faster GPU performance compared to the Honor 200's Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. The 14T also has faster LPDDR5X RAM, and faster UFS 4.0 storage, versus LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 on Honor 200.

Lastly, both Dimensity 8300 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 were announced on November 2023, it's just that Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 phones didn't appear until around March 2024. So your statement about the 14T's SoC being older is incorrect too.
