I'll pick Xiaomi 15 over Pixel 9 Pro any day simply because Tensor chips suck.

Rooting will open up security vulnerability (it is very dangerous if someone else has access to the device or if you are a high value target), and it isn't for everyone.
Same can be said with flashing a custom rom, but it is somewhat more do-able to non techhies.

Also used x100 pro, Funtouch is not there, but since its Android most of the things are there.

I have used S24, S25 and now I am using Xiaomi 15. The difference is huge in favor of Mi15. Much better battery, charger, significantly better camera, probably due to the larger sensor, significantly better performance. There is no chopping and slowing down like on Samsung phones which have a software limitation due to overheating. The animation works smoothly and fluidly. This is the best compact phone in 2025, with no real competition.
