I ... moreThat's a whole lot of shit talk for someone who isn't the even original commenter of the comment I was replying to.
Aside from your obvious condescending attitude that no one asked for, yes I do know that full frame does better at high ISO. And in hindsight I admit I did contradict myself there.
Honestly I've already lost track what the point of this conversation was. My main point really was to poke at the faulty logic from Xperia1V that "you use a dedicated camera for photography, not a smartphone". No I'm not trying to outsmart people. Btw, stupid isn't a censored word, stupid.

I know what it does to the photo.. That's why it was my secondary suggestion, not primary, primary suggestion was changing lens.
Also it shows another lack of your knowledge by trying to show further knowledge.
Just searching and copying text doesn't make you a smart person when you lack the basics.
Now about the high ISO and noise. I guess you don't know that full frame sensors are very much capable of handling high ISO, it's not a tiny sensor that high ISO will result in unusable photo . Also you certainly don't need to rely on using high ISO if you have a full frame. Even at f12 and at 1600 ISO even in the dark you will get a clear nice picture if you know how to control shutter speed. Hell, you can even do it at ISO 400 and still come out with a good(not the best) night time picture.
Like I said, you're and ignorant trying to outsmart other people with your faulty logic.

P C M, 31 Oct 2025Are you sure you yourself know about photography before acc... moreI'm afraid your last statement also suggests a lack of understanding.
If you narrow down the aperture on a full-frame camera, you'll have to raise the ISO very high in order to get a usable photo, which results in more noise.
APS-C cameras are better in that regard, but is still relatively bad.
Only when we get to something like a m43 camera that we can achieve a deep depth of field without narrowing the aperture that much, which means you don't have to raise the ISO that much to get a usable photo. Sure, you lose out on slightly more blurry background, but how important is that really?
What I'm saying is—and honestly it's confusing to even keep track of what my original point was—is that full frame cameras have its advantages, while small sensors have theirs.
But going too small obviously means you get crappy image quality. So how big can you go, while still staying small? I argue that 1 inch is the sweet spot. The LYT900 clearly has better image quality than, say, the LYT800 (1/1.4”).
Therefore, I argue that it is worth getting the 15 Ultra just for the cameras alone.
It is better than flagships that use smaller sensors, and it's still small enough that makes it completely separate than a professional camera, and therefore cannot be compared to it.
BTW, it is mainly the OEM's decision in making the camera island bigger than necessary. I am certain they could've made the camera island less bulky even with a 1 inch sensor, if they wanted to.

Anonymous, 12 Oct 2025LYT-900 is actually 0.98", so not exactly 1". Tha... moreFrom how I interpreted that same information, 1/0.98" as you are referring to is '1 divided by 0.98', is it not? And that would amount to 1.02 inches.
We can use LYT800 as another example, which has a 1/1.4” sized sensor. First of all, it's obviously known that this sensor is smaller than LYT900. And if we actually do "1 divided by 1.4", it equals to 0.71 inches, which is obviously smaller than 1 inch.
I will happily admit to being wrong, but I don't think I am mistaken in this case...

Gsm you forgot to add atpx lossless, LDAC, LC3, auracast and ASHA as codec support, you always do this to Chinese brands (missed out specs on old mate 10 pro and p40 pro AND oppo find x5, you add every possible feature on Samsung and apple so c'mon).

You lack even the simplest understanding.
Theoretically if you use the same lens for bigger sensor you will get shallower depth of field a lot. But this is not a phone camera, I'll let you know. You can change the lens. That's how camera works actually. Even with the same lens you can just narrow down the aperture to low and still get clear full size image from a fast 1.8 lens.

Mark97762, 22 Oct 2025Nice! But why is it 50MP?? it has supposted to be 108/200MP... more108 MP is less flexible. They used it years ago in the Mi Note 10 and Mi 11. Good for daylight, not so good elsewhere. 200MP is hysterical marketing gimmick, defaults to 12MP binning and hasn't anywhere close to the optical clarity to reproduce even a sixth of the native resolution
50MP has larger native pixel size for the same sensor size, and the better flexibility. In part due to the 8K gimmick.
In all honesty, 24MP is all the resolution needed for all smartphone camera sensors, and the native pixels would be even larger and even better for both photos and video up to 6K - meaning there would be room to crop and still produce a native 4K video. Not a single phone has the lens quality good enough to benefit from higher resolution.
Gimmicks and marketing sways so very many, and ultimately causes our products to be worse than what they could be.
