Absolutely love this phone, no complains about it only that software isnt the newest but other than that im super happy with my purchase, suggest this phone to everyone who plays games and wants a decent phone on budget

The magnification feature has apparently broke on my black shark 4? Anyone know why that would be? I can still hold it and get the 2 pop up options, but when I press magnification and hit the button again, the magnification doesn't work...

Anonymous, 12 Apr 2023sometimes my bs 4 turn off itself n sometimes it froze and ... moreSuffering from the same scenario, im casually scrolling through facebook then suddenly it freezes and turns off by it self, now my bs4 wont turn on but it is responding with my finger print and vibrating like when you turn on your device, but there is no display, it happened once but after a week or 2, i checked if it is turning on, suddenly it came back to life, then after 1 week of ressurection it died again. I bought it because of the price point and specs compared to other.phones, plus the trigger buttons cause i play fps games, now its more like a dead phone now, and the repair cost half of its price, ive used it for almost 2 years, used it for daily and playing casual games like PUBG, Apex and Wild Rift, it runs smoothly in those games, now i miss my bs4

I acquired my Black Shark 4 when it was launched, almost two years ago. I only had to replace its battery after a year and a half. I'm very happy with it; it's still a strong gaming smartphone.
The problem is that it came with Android 11, and after two years, it still has Android 11.
No update, no nothing.
I'll never buy a Xiaomi smartphone again...

sometimes my bs 4 turn off itself n sometimes it froze and made a continuous beep sound. and today my phone cant be turn on, ive tried holding the power button and volume button but it still wont work. how to fix this? and does anyone have the same problem? also the sms positioning doesnt work.

Please don't bother to buy BS products at all, the upgrade dead a long time ago, Xiaomi is well known for its lack of commitment to upgrading its products. Be it Android or JoyUI. And worst is the temperature tweak by BS (so many reduction lies) is different from Ampere. I was waiting for the new JoyUI for the correction of temp error during playing games. What a laughable more than a year of no update at all and I have to live with this temp error for life. ROG is better with proper upgrades too. Regret owned BS4. The only reason I owned it is because of the physical trigger button, which is mainly the reason I avoid ROG 5 at the time due to their "air" trigger which lots of reviewers did complain of being amiss sometimes. We, users, want a confident side trigger click during playing high-commitment games.
