I've had nothing but problems with this phone since I ordered it. Even though it was purchased new, the phone has yet to see a single Android O/S or security update since release, with the "no updates available" message greeting me each time. Half the time I make an outgoing call, at random, the other end says that my voice is jumpy and coming in and out. Other things randomly stop and resume working, like the alarm feature, pairing with my smartwatch, and Bluetooth pairing, for months at a time. Neither changing the nano-SIM card or doing a full factory reset fixed any of this.
Worse yet, the supposed authorized dealer I purchased this from on Amazon turned out to not be an authorized dealer, so Xiaomi offered no support of any sort. I couldn't even download a newer version of Android from their website, an option that other Android smartphone manufacturers offers to all. So my first Xiaomi purchase will be my last, and I'm replacing it much sooner than any other phone so far.

Nahhh i don't like it due to samsung released chip and not TSMC and as we all know that both 888/ 8 gen1 is created by samsung which is bad, while 888+/8+ gen1 which is created by TSMC fixed the issues and gives more power

this phone is so good, i cant believe this phone existed and it change my life and the people around me, my friend can't walk since birth but when i gave him the phone, he can walk now.

Hope they make another Black Shark! Still loving my 5 pro, once you get used to the triggers there's no going back. Now for an upgrade the only decent available option is ROG but would prefer a much budget friendly option. Not giving up on a possible BS 6. They need to sort out their issues and not die out as a gaming brand. Not many updates or support for BS 5, could be better but you get what you pay for.

Anonymous, 04 Jul 2023I accidentally dropped my blackshark 5 pro on concrete it o... moreNote that phones are meant to handle drops like a 3 FT drop and if in a armoured case (like it covering more of the phone unlike other phone case) that will be distributed throughout the phone meaning the impact would do not much,and test something if anything is damaged and if you found a issue or your worried that something is wrong,then consult a professional phone repairman.
