price is too high so no one can buy at 50k

I love this phone, it has good specs, a very good camera, more then enough RAM and internal storage, but there is something missing on this phone(note it is an expensive phone), an IP68. A phone expensive like this should at least have an IP67 certificate. Oppo did the right thing with the Find X2 Pro. OnePlus has done the same. Every major company's flagship has IP68 these days. This is NOT a luxury anymore as it was in 2006, 2007 in Japan.

Global version (8G + 256GB) is now available for preorder in my country for 870 USD. But it comes with single SIM which is a deal-breaker for me. Dual SIM is indispensable for me.

Logica10, 29 Apr 2020Well I must clarify. I'd go with LG V60 because of its audi... more1) When are you ever going to use that audio recording. You aren't a famous vlogger or anything. And even if you were, why would settle for the mic built into your phone. Even the best of built in mics can't compete with a $20 condenser XLR mic or any other dedicated one. Either way you have no way to tell which mic is better let alone by how much one is better.
              2) Don't drop your phone in water. It's as simple as that. Not once has my LG V30 touched water in the over 2 years that I've had it. No phone I've ever had has touched water. The IP68 did nothing for me except add $30 onto the price tag. Utterly useless. And it's the same with most other people. Unless you've got essential tremor or something and can't hold stuff properly then you should be the same way.
              3) Desktops exist for a reason. We don't need to use our phones as computers. Nobody only has a phone. Everyone has some form of desktop or laptop or any other actual computer. The LG V60 could never outperform a computer. Not unless that computer was EXTREMELY low end. And even if it could, the 865 is an ARM SoC, not x86. No x86 software runs on the V60. 90% of the desktop software we use doesn't work on the V60.
              4) I always use my LG V30's dac for listening to audio, but even I'll accept the fact that the Mi 10 Pro is just that vastly amount better than the V60 even without the jack. The worlds better cameras, the performance, the MUCH faster display, the MUCH faster wired AND wireless charging, (even the wireless charging on this is faster than the V60's wired charging by almost twice as much) the bezels, and even little things like the infrared port. All this adds up to make the Mi 10 Pro that much better.
              5) "my expectancies would be best fullfilled with the V60 than with Mi10 Pro" Then sorry to say it bud, but you have all the wrong "expectancies".

The Mi 10 Pro is the no brainer choice over the V60 even at $800 let alone 200 less.

joe nodden, 27 Apr 2020The V60 is worse than this in every possible aspect except ... moreWell I must clarify. I'd go with LG V60 because of its audio section with Quad-DACs, its four microphones and the hi-fi video sound recording. I guess that the Xiaomis, even with Qualcomm's Aqstic enabled, cannot match the audio playback and recording quality provided by LGs so equipped - at least for me, difference is noticeable among my 9T Pro and a oldie V20. However, to be fair, i read that Mi 10 Pro scored very well in audio tests. The IP 68 is also a nice amenity (I had a Samsung S9+ and this protection adds some peace of mind). And the HDMI over USBC is an interesting feature since it has no video delay and could mimick a basic computer when attached to external display, keyboard and mouse, for browsing the internet, and perform basic text processing and spreadsheets. If the V60 could output 8K via its USB-C, it could outperform a computer right now in this regard. Cabled video output is a feature that Xiaomis didn't included so far (perhaps the Mi 10 Pro has added it, but I see no info regarding this). I think "what phone is the best?" is an objective question that -perhaps- only accepts subjective answers, especially in high-end phones from the same generation. If the Mi 10 Pro could cut the price by 200 bucks, it would certainly be a no-brainer election, granted. But at this price tag, my expectancies would be best fullfilled with the V60 than with Mi10 Pro.

Quite pricier than expected. In the realm of a thousand dollars, I would go with Sony's Xperia 1-II, or LG V60, or something like that. I have two Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro (855 processor, 6GB RAM, 128 GB storage with dual-sim support), and both costed me about USD 390 in last october (a fantastic phone for the price). But this Mi 10 Pro model costs a whopping USD 600 more, and frankly, I do not see so many innovations that justifies a 160% price increment with respect to former flagship. Xiaomi must not attempt to be Samsung or Sony, still has some way to go. IMHO, this chinese brand must differentiate itself from any other phone-maker, by offering excellent quality and performances, at an affordable price. Just as they did until now.

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2020There should be Thunderbolt 3.0 port instead of USB 2.0. Th... moreConcerning the addition of the Thunderbolt USB-C port, it is not as simple as just adding the port. There needs to be internally hardwired Thunderbolt circuitry do shunt data up to 40 GB/s.

Intel announced over a year ago (March 2019) that it contributed the Intel Thunderbolt protocol specification to the USB Promoter Group (USB-IF), enabling other chip makers to build Thunderbolt compatible silicon, royalty-free.

The USB-IF subsequently announced (August 2019) the pending release of the USB 4 specification, based on the Thunderbolt protocol. The convergence of the underlying Thunderbolt and USB protocols will increase compatibility among USB Type-C connector-based products.

In the absence of the unified USB 4 specification, smartphones will have to make do with the current crop of USB 3 standards, which incidentally is an absolute nightmare to decipher.

There are several USB 3.x standards:

                        (1) USB 3.2 Gen 1x1 - SuperSpeed, 5 Gbit/s, AKA USB 3.1 Gen 1, AKA USB 3.0

                        (2) USB 3.2 Gen 1x2 - SuperSpeed+, 10 Gbit/s

                        (3) USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 - SuperSpeed+, 10 Gbit/s, AKA USB 3.1 Gen 2, AKA USB 3.1

                        (4) USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 - SuperSpeed+, 20 Gbit/s

                        (5) USB 3.2 Gen 4x4 - WarpSpeed++, AKA The Ulrika Jonsson spectacle

The upcoming USB 4 shall have a maximum transfer rate of 40 Gbit/s, and support tunnelling of DisplayPort 1.4a, PCI Express traffic, and host-to-host transfers based on the Thunderbolt 3 protocol.

USB 4 has been internally referred to as Gen 3 by USB-IF, so it may well be the initial 40 Gbit/s spec becomes to be known as USB 4.0 Gen 3x1, in keeping with the above listed USB 3.x standards.

USB 4 is expected to debut sometime after late 2020.

There should be Thunderbolt 3.0 port instead of USB 2.0. There should be 2 Thunderbolt 3.0 ports. Then this mobile could be used for many projects.

For me, there are 2 deal-breakers why I wont get Mi 10 Pro: 1) Global version is more expensive than Chinese one, and 2) Global is single while Chinese is dual SIM. Good luck, Xiaomi!

It is only single SIM while my basic requirement is dual SIM. Bye bye Xiaomi. It is a pity though that spec of the Chinese version is different from global one which never happened before.
