Xiaomi Mi 10S debuts with Snapdragon 870, dual speakers and 108MP camera

While Xiaomi’s Mi 11 is already making waves, last year’s Mi 10 series is not yet ready to take a back seat. The latest addition is the Mi 10S which just debuted in China. It brings a 90Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 870 chipset and a Samsung 108MP main sensor.

The front features a curved 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. The panel is HDR10+ certified and protected by Gorilla Glass 5. It packs a punch hole cutout for the 20MP selfie cam as well as a fingerprint reader tucked under the panel. Audio is a big focus point of the Mi 10S thanks to its dual speaker setup tuned by Harman Kardon. According to DxOMark, this is the best speaker setup it has tested.

Moving to the rear we have a familiar camera setup headlined by Samsung’s 1/1.33″ 108MP sensor with OIS. There’s also an 8MP ultrawide snapper while the other two sensors are a 2MP macro cam and 2MP depth helper.

The Mi 10S is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 chipset with 8/12 GB LPDDR5 RAM next to 128/256GB UFS3.0 storage.

The phone’s battery comes in at 4,780 mAh and supports 33W wired, 30W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging. On the software front we have MIUI 12 on top of Android 11.

The Mi 10S will be available in black, blue and white colors. Retail prices in China are set at CNY 3,299 ($506) for the 8/128GB trim and go up to CNY 3,799 ($583) for the 12/256GB model. First sales there begin this Friday, March 12 and early buyers get a free 30W wireless charger. International availability was not detailed.

the good picture does not depend on the megapixels it depends on quality

I'm not sure with it tho. Oppo also uses some shitty ass 3mp macro camera on both of their flagships but the pictures taken are quite impressive
