Have you tried dialing down the screen resolution to 1080p, and does that extend the battery life significantly? My eyesight is bad enough that I don't think I'd fully appreciate 1440p, so I'd take extra battery life over higher ppi. Thanks!

Hei guys, i have the new miui 12.5 Global version.
The new miui 12.5 made this phone a beast, the heating issue is gone and the phone is smooth. Battery is still kind of bad but enough for me, i get 5h sot with qhd+ 120hz + LTE+bt and nfc on all the time.

Battery drainer, 03 May 2021Dont justify their poor optimization and buggy power hungry... moreThe S21 Ultra is able to achieve such a high battery score because it has an LTPO display, which allows it to have a variable refresh rate as low as 10Hz. Of course this technology will have a massive effect to its battery life, as the refresh rate is managed dynamically, constantly adjusting to the contents being displayed to the user. Do note that LTPO display is only available on the Ultra model, which is why the regular S21 and S21+ has a battery life score worse than the Ultra model.

When are they going to fix the heating iss... moreSo far so good with my unit..im only getting 37° - 38° sometimes when watching YT..im using 2k 90hz resolution all the time.. battery is great from 100%-30% at least 5hrs SOT .im using Mi 11 CN version running miui 12.5.5.0 ver.

When are they going to fix the heating issue?
A simple internet browsing / YouTube, etc (not gaming) will also heats up the phone until not that nice to hold the phone.
Xiaomi better come clear with this heating issue plague by many owners, will it be solved via software updates or this is a hardware issue (defective product)
And as for now, with no clearcut solution from Xiaomi, those interested in purchasing this phone, take my advice, put on hold with your purchase.

Iphone 12 pro max is another example with very smaller battery. This phone is an expensive catastrophe.
