Lido, 01 Sep 2022Hi. What about your experience with battery lifeCan last a whole day(8-10 hours) , notmal use no gaming.
Display is set at 60hz to save battery , all picture/video enhancement turned off .
5G radio turned off to further save battery.
If you play games then battery life would be half of that.

In the end i chose Mi 11 pro because:
1. The crazy big camera sensor that's not available on other phone (except the pricier Mi 11 ultra).
2. 5X periscope zoom with OIS , only a few phones have this.
3. Newer Gorilla Victus glass , OP9 pro is using older gorilla
glass 5 instead.
4. Bigger battery 5000 vs 4500.
5. Can also be flashed to global ROM or custom recovery/ROMs
,after bootloader unlocked.
6. Has useful IR remote control function.
I have already unlocked the bootloader, and now running global version rom.

Mi 11 pro & OP9 pro has IP68.
Anything flagship should have IP68 , IMO .

Challenger, 21 Aug 2022Which one should I buy, between Mi 11 Pro and Oneplus 9 Pro. Hard to choose between them , took me a few months to decide.
OP9 Pro has better ultrawide camera sensor ,
but Mi 11 Pro has bigger GN2 main sensor and also longer 5X optical zoom.
It was the biggest sensor in use before Mi 12S Ultra came out.
Indoor/night photos are simply superb , good detail and low noise even in low light.
The latest camera software updates has improved quality.
The AI is improved , with auto night mode option .
Mi 11 Pro for better main camera.
OP9 Pro for better ultrawide.

hello< small update, i updated to miui.eu 13.0.13.0 and the phone surprisingly became cooler, it looks like xiaomi managed to throttle down and tweak the power curve of the soc to an accepted level while maintaining the same performance.

1. Sup... moreIf it's 108mp it's NOT Mi 11 pro . It's probably Xiaomi 11T Pro . Mi 11 pro has 50mp camera ( same as Mi 11 ultra) .
Return the phone and ask for the real Mi 11 pro.

I just bought the Xiaomi 11 Pro for a few reasons:
1. Supposed to Work with US Carriers T Mobile and Att&T
2. Dual Sim
3. Superb Camera
4. I own 3 of their drones and happy with the quality
Previous 3 phones Hauwei Samsung 8, Huawei P20, Hauwei P30.
1. T-mobile drops calls while using apps like Signal, Whatsaps, and regular phone calls. Occcuring so often it averages to a dropped call every 2 minutes
2. Yes Dual Sim works as expected
3. Camera is so bad compared to the other 3 phones. Very disappointed with the photo quality, photos are very grainy even with the 108 mp lense. Night shot does work at all. Seems to struggle with auto focus.
4. Overall, I really feel sad and disappointed that this phone didn't live up to my perceived expectations and in all honesty it preforms like a mid range phone at best.

Small update, I installed miui.eu 13.0.12.0 on my phone for 2 weeks now, surprisingly it runs much much much cooler, butt at a cost of course, the updates now are manual yet extremely noob friendly and the camera performance is somewhat lower than china rom, i use the phone at fhd and 60hz.
So my rank for roms as follows
Miui.eu best cooling, miui china bit hotter, global rom IS A NO-GO heats a alot

This phone is s... moreThe phone is good, really good, but it is a good hand wormer when using 120hz, but, at 60hz the phone is much much cooler, the heating problem comes down to
1. Soc, about 20% of the heating problem
2. Battery, about 35% of the heating problem
3. Screen, about 40% of the heating problem
4. sounding temperature, about 5% of the heating problem
So yeah, the soc is not the main heat source, it is the damn beautiful screen and the big battery when using high refresh rate.
