And before that , I've washed my phone a few times under running water . I can confirm it's really water resistant.

check it out, look at the left bottom corner and the right one too, you will notice that the left has more gap than the right corner, or at least mine is shifted in a weird way that made me have 0% faith in its "ip68".
but going back to the subject, you if you want to change just the back panel you might get away with it, butt, the 5x zoom and 5mp camera will be to no use due to being a bit far from the protective glass lens, but on the other hand, you might be able to install the back display (the flash connector on 11 pro is the back display one on mi 11 ultra and shares the power with the camera flash)

Yes, you'll loose your guarantee with IP68, but I think it's still fine and fairly water resistant. At least I'm 100% sure it can still survive rain. Would you mind giving it a try?

Damn that sucks. The camera tho and everything else is way better than any other phone really. I love 11 pro. I'll keep it haha). I saw a mi 11 Ultra back replacement for around €40. Because the mi 11 pro and mi 11 Ultra have the exact same firmware, specs, main camera and all other stuff (it's 99% the same as mi 11 Ultra), I thought I might give it a try to replace the back with the mi 11 Ultra. I know most camera sensors have similar if not the same connector, but would it fit in terms of camera layout? Both pro and Ultra have main top left, uwide next to it and zoom below main. Would the lenses of mi 11 Ultra fit on 11 pro? Thanks for your reply :)

Anonymous, 03 Sep 2023Does anyone know whether the Mi 11 Pro has the same mobo li... moreyes and no, the mobo is almost the same but the main difference is in 100x camera connector and a sensor on the front of the mobo of mi 11 ultra, so while you can do that I don't advice you to do it, because at that point buying a used mi 11 ultra is more effective and better for you, hek, I advice you to buy xiaomi 12t pro or poco f5 pro at that point, they are waaaaaay better, and the generate less heat without having the risk of having a defective mi 11 series motherboard, owning a mi 11 series phone is like standing on a edge you don't know when the motherboard will decide to fail.

Does anyone know whether the Mi 11 Pro has the same mobo like the Mi 11 Ultra? If so, I would be able to buy a Mi 11 ultra back ceramic + lens + display.

There's also the other special modes , long exposure (up to 30 mins) and time-lapse capture mode.
And also night video mode for better low-light videos.
But mostly i'll just leave it on AI , with auto night mode enabled , and simply point and shoot .

More power equals more heat , it can't be avoided.
You cant try underclock/undervolt mods to reduce cpu temps.

Currently looking for an replacement of my Huawei P30 pro. The night mode on it is just incredible. It can make a very dark street look like 12 am with just the moonlight. Your able to do a long time exposure without a stand for as long as necessary. Few minutes are possible but rarely needet, at least not with the main sensor. The results are sharp and very rich in contrast. Gotta miss that phone but time to go on.

Am I permitted to mention that your link to Amazon leads to a Mi 11t Pro, which is definitely weaker than the Mi 11 Pro?
I own a Mi11Pro and overall I'm satisfied with it. Well, except for the camera: night mode is very weak compared to Samsung, whereas the Xiaomi was at its best with this model, or at least should be at that point.
One of the disappointments is overheating while using walking or mixed navigation in Maps. This could be because of Android continuously calculating the route, but overheating is in the Xiaomi's field. Hope the 13th Pro is better.
BTW, was disappointed that Xiaomi won't put cases anymore, which I found very comfortable and useful.

Bobfish, 01 Jun 2023How's the new update? Notifications issue fixed ?So far so good, notification issue and ram management issues have been fixed finally. just make sure to update the twrp to twrp-3.7.0_12-v7.7_A13-star-skkk.img, you can download it from recovery-for-xiaomi-devices on sourceforge website.

Short review after using this for 1 year. Haven't had any issues at all tbh , even though i live in a tropical country . With the current heatwave we're having , ambient temps can go up to 35°C . But so far all's good , the phone is able to withstand the high ambient temps.
Hopefully can last 1 more year at least.
