Anonymous, 21 Apr 2021well this "samsung destroyer" sure doesn't c... moreThe people calling this phone a "Samsung killer", are clearly ignoring all the criticisms about this phone. It really makes me laugh, because of these issues are so obvious that a blind person can spot them.
Let me remind those ignorant people, what the main issues are:
1. Ridiculous camera bump, that makes the phone top-heavy and more difficult to hold than the s21 Ultra.
2. The corners of the display look ugly (thanks to the unnecessary "quad curved" display), unlike the s21 Ultra which has nicely rounded corners with sensible curves.
3. Gimmicky second display on the back, which doesn't add any useful value to the user experience at all.
4. The glass on the back of the phone is attracts a large amount of smudges and dirt, which makes the phone feel cheaper than it actually is.
5. The overrated camera system, that uses mediocre software that doesn't even take the full advantage of the hardware (i.e. the image sensor made by Samsung).
Feel free to respond to any of these points or call me biased or a nitpick freak (as anyone who raises any criticism about Xiaomi gets the same response), but I'm just voicing my opinion on something which "apparently" beats the S21 Ultra overall.

Anonymous, 17 Apr 20211) most phones are made in China 2) Xiaomi has been known ... moreSamsung phones are no longer manufactured in China, and the quality of their current flagships in the market is exceptional. You may complain about the West not allowing "high quality" Chinese products in their markets, but have you ever thought about the how the Western public feels about Chinese products? Generally speaking, they're made of very cheap quality materials and they don't last that long at all. Only Lenovo has a good reputation outside of China.

I've used my new Mi 11 Ultra Chinese Edition for couple of days now and just wanted to say I'm very impressed so far. It's the first time I've used a Xiaomi device in over a decade and I previously had a Huawei P40 Pro for over a year. I ordered mine from TradingShenzhen and it took 9 days in total to land on my doorstep.
Build quality/feel: Love the ceramic rear back which you don't find on most flagships nowadays and even though it weighs a hefty 239g, it just screams quality to me as I'm used to big phones even though I have medium-sized hands. The camera bump is big but I personally don't mind it, since it's so unique looking.
Screen: Amazing. Bright in sunlight, sharp, clear and just what you'd expect from an E4 Amoled panel. They weren't kidding when they said it can max out at 1700 nits if you really wanted to set it to that. Doesn't use a LTPO panel like the S21 Ultra does which would've made it even more power efficient but I suppose you can't have everything. Also, I wouldn't call the secondary screen a gimmick, but it's features are certainly very limited at the present stage. Pretty sure, there will be third party apps that will take advantage of it. Currently, I've just put "Android King" image on the back
Performance: Very fast. 12GB of LPDDR5 and the cooling system seem to be doing their job well as. The SD888 runs hot on a lot of other devices in the market. Here they have fixed the overheating issues that were present on Mi 11.
I ran some benchmarks for curiosity and couldn't be happier with the numbers I was able to get....830k on Antutu which is just insane!!!
I know real-world situations are more important but it's interesting to see the scores imho. I don't play a lot of games but I am a heavy social media user, as well as happen to use my phone for work, so I do appreciate how snappy and quick everything is.
Cameras: One of the best I've seen to date, but sometimes I've noticed it's still not always consistent and reliable. I'll blame that on early software. S21 Ultra was plagued with multiple issues upon launch. Nonetheless the main sensor captures a lot of detail due to its sensor size in almost all scenarios. You do get a really good natural bokeh effect too when shooting subjects up close, I'd advice against using the Potrait mode and stick to regular mode as it give much natural depth of field rendering Potrait mode unnecessary. The ultrawide angle is incredibly wide at 12mm and Night mode shots are probably the best I've seen so far. The zoom is really great even though 2.5x-3x optical zoom option would've been nice to have .
The videos especially at night are clean and crisp. Hands down best footage from a smartphone.
And no... The iPhone isn't even close, It's useless in dark scenarios with so much noise and artifacts.
The video from other sensors on iPhone is also poor, not the case on Mi 11 Ultra.
Call reception/signal: LTE, 5G and cellular speeds seem superior to my previous phone. VOLTE and WiFi calling... all working as intended.
Battery life: I still haven't fully stress tested it properly but the 5000mAh battery is looking good so far. Easily 8 hours SOT with 120hz, but at FHD+ due to personal preference.
Overall impressions: I'm a happy customer and look forward to a couple of software updates which I hope will iron out a few bugs I've encountered. The global version would've been cool to have but after spending several hours debloating, customizing and getting used to MIUI 12, it feels great and I've got no problems staying with the China ROM since all bands are supported and Google Pay working as well.
One important note. the phone comes by default with the mi wallet selected and you need to select the HCE Wallet in order to use your virtual cards ( this is kinda of a security option to prevent someone to steal your card information, quite usefull actually )

AlRome, 19 Apr 2021Hey dudes, first time commenting here. I have a OnePlus 6 n... moreI use an old phone, an OnePlus 3T, and so far I have no particular problems with it, but I'm thinking of changing it because it's old, the first option was OnePlus 9, but I'm honestly disappointed, I'm still thinking of going for Xiaomi MI 11 Ultra, but I'm waiting to see what price it gets in Romania, the real disappointment for me in the case of Xiaomi MI 11 ultra, is that it does not come with a transparent back, just like Xiaomi MI 10 ultra, and does not come with 16 gb Ram.
