Angry Mobile Nerd, 08 Aug 2014Ok so all you fanboys are basically saying had Xiaomi launc... moreI used a 8GB Nexus 4 and 16GB Nexus 5, both of which I chosed the lower storage when the larger storage variants are available as well, and I've never faced insufficient storage. I clean up junk files and sync files to cloud (Dropbox) weekly or sometimes monthly, have multiple ROMs downloaded, a backup, having a few large games at the date and some offline Spotify tracks. What's the problem with 16GB or 8GB?
Storage management is something anyone who uses a smartphone should knows. Smart users don't just dump all their stuffs in a smartphone without managing them wisely. Smartphones are not a harddrive. Smartphones are to be used smartly.

In China average person doesn't give a sh*t about XiaoMi? I don't know man, I am keen on China communities especially in IT scenes and as far as I know all IT-related websites and organizations take XiaoMi as a very important company. Every single event, announcement, leak etc are viral on websites and news. The influence power of XiaoMi is way bigger than other competitors in China like MeiZu, Smartisan, Nubia, Vivo, HuaWei etc or the bigger names like Samsung and iPhone. Being affordable is exactly what's most incredible about XiaoMi, and there's way more about it. You're most likely one of those commonly found 米黑 in China I assume, unbelievable that they exist in GSMARENA too.

Angry Mobile Nerd, 08 Aug 2014Ok so all you fanboys are basically saying had Xiaomi launc... moreSmartphone market changes every 3 to 5 months even less than that. Considering the rate at which tech moves, Any electronic device will be Obsolete in a year be it your laptop, phone or any such. What is best right now is what one should be looking at. Being a year since it launched in china, does it fail to be durable for a year?, if you know something about its durability of lasting a year let us know. Of course after a year nobody is going to talk about Mi3, loads will change at that time. May be we all will move to wearable devices at that time, may be there would be no smartphone, it at all will be with bendable displays or foldable displays. No model beats the market even months in gadgets. Right now it is thrice value for the money you pay for. And worth every penny, with very reasonbale to no compromise.

Like I said, you're all still in the honeymoon phase. It's too early. Let the hype die down and then lets reflect say towards the end of the year. Here in China the average person doesn't give a sh*t about Xiaomi phones because we've had them for years already. They're nothing incredible, and actually very few of my colleagues own one. It's just the price, that's all, nothing more.

                  Hello everybody
Xiaomi Mi3 is the greatest phone I have ever seen because
1.price is low because Xiaomi knows the value of customer's money.
2.Hardware used in the phone are of best quality so don't be confused.
3.Xiaomi factory is working very hard to fulfill demand.
4.Some people are making noise against Xiaomi that they have stock but not selling due to create massive demand but the reason is Xiaomi is making very little reasonable profit and that's why they don't have that much bigger factories like other big company.
5.What Xiaomi has done for people is very respected.
6.I myself have bought successfully two mi3 (one for me and one for my friend) out of 3 sales. You can say my luck,
7.Xiaomi Mi3 has great features like any big flagship and so it proves at every ground u keep it in with.
8.Battery performance is too good.If you play big games like Asphalt 8 then also it gives u a great battery performance than many other big flagships.
9.I will give it 9.5 out of 10.
10.overall performance is super fast. You don't feel any lags.
11.Internet speed depends upon your network so I don't think so that such kind of stupid questions must ask.
                  12.It gives you Premium feel.
13.Guys what more do you expect from a company. In 14 thousand (230$) no other company even dare to do provide a beast like this because every company wants to make huge profit.
14.Screen is very very very smooth, processor and ram has super awesome combination.
15.According to me Guys go and buy it and don't google anymore because there are some haters who wants to misguide.
                  Thanks Xiaomi and everyone

Set the power mode to high performance, make sure battery is at least 50%,restart the phone.. Now run the antutu benchmark..you will see the diffrence.

Anonymous, 07 Aug 2014How is the browsing experience of mi3? I am currently using... moreBrowsing is good, no lag on any website with 5 tabs opened right now (most I tried is 9 or 10 tabs opened) using stock MIUI browser.
Also tried using Chrome and UC Browser, smooth as well with multiple tabs opened.

MIUI browser does not support bookmarks sync nor import/export right now so if you have a lot of bookmarks maybe you should try using Chrome instead of stock browser.

Camera.. it's the weakness of Mi3. Daylight shots are okay, sometimes the white balance will be off. Low light shots are quite bad. I would rate 5 out of 10 for daylight shots and 3 for low light.
If you're a hardcore camera user then Mi3 is not suitable for you. For me it's still ok since I almost always have my DSLR in bag and I only use Mi3 camera on rare occasion.

Angry Mobile Nerd, 08 Aug 2014At first I thought all you guys care about was getting a Sn... moreNot really "everyone" here care about benchmark scores like Antutu. I for one did not install any benchmarking apps on any of my phones in the past two or three years.

I don't find issues with limited storage tbh, especially with cloud storaging availability right now. There's MiCloud to sync photos. I uses Spotify as my music app and keep a handful of offline tracks. I play large games like Asphalt 8 and also emulation games (NDS, PSP). And yet I find 16GB is more than enough.
If anything, there's also OTG USB drive available now, one of them made of SanDisk is of high quality.

Be it 16GB or 64GB, it still comes down to one's storage management. One who manage their storage well will find 16GB is more than enough, and one who is bad in storage management will always find their storage being insufficient, be it 16GB or 64GB.

AnonD-291211, 07 Aug 2014I think all hardware given are of Low quality and they are ... moreYou "think" all the hardwares are low quality?
Yes Atmel MXT540S touchscreen module is cheap.
Yes 2GB LPDDR3 RAM manufactured by Samsung is cheap.
Yes 16GB eMMC4.5 flash storage manufactured by SanDisk is cheap.
And there's much more detailed components which you can find from Google before you "THINK" that all hardwares are of low quality.

Just like someone said earlier, people like you are biased thinking that it's of low quality just because it's a China brand and priced affordable. Refer to Google too on how they managed to cut down the price via zero commercial advertisement, assemble process, contract deal with components provider etc.

Now I understand why are you considering these nonsense as "still an opinion", because you yourself is talking about the same type of nonsense like this "i 'think' all hardwares are of low quality".
