I have changed my mind now..earlier i was very eager to buy this..but now i will wait..till xiaomi clears this speculation!!

I've bought one on 29 July and it'll get delivered on 2 Aug. I've logged in at 10.30 AM and sharp at 2.00 pm hit the Buy now button. Got the message that we've booked one for you and got confirmation and made payment at 3.20 PM. Really got frustated with booking but at the end, I'm satisfied now. Pretty excited.

AnonD-196433, 30 Jul 2014don't buy this phone, it sends your private date such as ph... moregive me a break, use ur brain or atleast use google, the news is not posted by the reporter which is from unverified source, u can click the source in the bottom of the article, it is more or like gossip or rumour coz they didn't provide how do they installed the custom rom , or do they changed the os version of android, no particular detail is given in the article, like i said the particular model phone is powered by mediatek(tiwanese company) octacore MT6592, coz they never release source code to developers, so they cannot install reliable custom rom like cynagen mod, how do they tested without miui of xiaomi... actually ip range in the matter is belonging to xiaomi mi cloud services... which is similar to apple cloud or any other cloud storage, the concerned point is which the phone is backing up the data in mi cloud without user permission, actually in samsung s5 is getting ur finger print in the database but not telling how they are using ur info and apple is getting ur finger print to verify the itune services telling comic story abt fingprint matter, snowden released document clearly shows there are back doors in blackberry too... ideally
all the os ecosystem , cloud storage are giving user info to government agency except some rare cases like new found dark mail used by snowden.

i am posting this for only reason, many phone released in india is actually an rebranded(changing sticker name) version chinese manufacturers, who mostly uses android stock version and uses media tek processor(use n throw no future update for the bugs no custom rom), using marketing strategy all manufacturers are milking money from customer ,i think it is good fone for cheap price, dont worry it is powered by qualcomm u can get future update by custom rom...
actually the propaganda to tag samsung as a copy cat is used here to tag xiaomi as cheap, dont fall for marketing hype use logical reasoning,

if u want security from nsa snooping ur email, buy phone which has no internet, manufactured in india for sub rs 1500 phone....

i posting this comment to clear the air, this fone is powered by qualcomm 800 processor of us company, which releases source code to developers , so u get updated to latest os coz of cynagen mod custom rom, same cannot be said to phone has media tek processor coz they never release source code form so u cant be updated to latest os versions unless the company provide updates,

the news released on blog abt xiaomi secretly sending your info to Chinese server is refefering xiaomi redmi note which is powered by mediatek processor, which never releases source code for soc, i dont how to they get custom rom for mediatek processor which is tiwanese company , the news is unverified from source actually they are referring to mi cloud services,

whenever u thought to buy for an smartphone always ask who is making the processor of the phone , which model is it, can i get custom rom or future updates for the phone, but think twice b4 buying the phone powered by mediatek processor coz they never release source code for custom develepors so u wont get future update unless the phone company or their partner in china releases the update...

finally the fone is powered by qualcomm 800 soc, radio transmitter receiver of the phone is made by qualcomm us company, u can get cyangen mod or u can clean install new os without any help from xiaomi just follow xda forum...

i am commenting as a neutral viewer , since there are lot of bad noise for xiaomi for different reasons, this phone has qualcomm processor of us company, the blog news abt a phone which has mediatek processor who never released source code for processor(soc),mediatek never released source code for its soc, how do they install new custom rom?

are they changed the os version and tested it, this is just racial prejudice to tag them as cheap, like tagging samsung koreans as copy cat.... dont fall for marketing hype war, use logical reasoning, fight your war with technology innovation not with marketing racial prejudice

Congratulations on all those who could buy this phone...lucky you...As for me I dont think I have any more energy left it me...tried my level best on last two occasions but failed...dont think I could carry on any further...
