M facing serious heating problem.
Played Truck simulator foe 5 minutes and mi4 was heated up like anything.
Flipkart Customer care says heating upto 50'c is normal for a phone with 2.5ghz processor.
Battery drains out like anything. With 3g on , browse internet or fb . battery doesn't last for even half a day.
I charged it for continuous eight hours for the first time after factory resetting the setting as suggested by flipkart tech person
Very poor performance by mi.
Any one facing similar heat issue and got your refund or replacement from flipkart ?

I copied this (below) from cornings website, which means if xiaomi did not provide model verification to corning, corning will not list them as they are not authorized to use the GG trademark for advertising.
"The devices on these pages have been verified by the manufacturer and Corning as using Corning® Gorilla® Glass. The manufacturers and devices detailed on these webpages are the only manufacturers authorized to use the Corning® Gorilla® Glass trademark in their device promotions. Don't buy this mobile... RAM is poor because lord RAM does not allow. Difficult to root because Dlink WiFi router is not working and MIUI is not Custom ROM, EMMC card cannot be formatted because the ui is in Chinese.

U will receive only white color which are not sold in chiana 16 GB version. U have to compromise with that if u r a true lover of xiaomi.

Again, if Meizu can get listed on Cornings website why can't Xiaomi? It's actually in the best interest of both parties to get listed because it's good PR for both Corning and the manufacturer. I know there are a lot of hipsters out there spreading rumors suggesting Xiaomi can't officially state they use Gorilla Glass because of licensing agreements, etc... again, all BS in my opinion.
I have a feeling Xiaomi used "Gorilla Glass" sourced from an unofficial/unauthorized channel which is/was probably a factory in China producing it without the consent of Corning. Corning does manufacturer in China, and the downside to when you set-up operations/manufacturing in China is you no longer have trade-secrets as you have to disclose everything to the Chinese government which opens the door for local firms to rip your technology off.

That makes it even more confusing though, because Xiaomi's Mi3 was confirmed to have Gorilla glass, but that is not listed on cornings site either.

go for software upgrade in mi phones it can drastically reduce temp issue...but guys ur using a 2.4 Ghz processor...so its well expected..
mi is using a good heat conductor for ventilating this heat out..in result a bit heat body... but its far expected...
opo is using a gard to prevent this heat inside,thats actually not good for the processor ..
mi4 is worth buying

caps lock on: do not buy this phone its worst at battery pathetic battary back up and heating issues.
rest phone is 10 outta 10 leaving battery on one side

I also am facing the problem of body heating while using multiple apps and worsens during charging..is there anything that Xiomi can do for this

Xiaomi isn't on the list in any shape or form which means Corning themselves have not yet verified any of Xiaomi's phones to be using official Corning Gorilla Glass.
Fyi you'll find Meizu on the list so there are really no reasons for Xiaomi to not be verified unless they are in fact not using officially sourced Gorilla Glass on their phones.

I do not understand something about this phone... EVERYWHERE i read it states that the Mi4 does NOT have corning gorilla glass. EXCEPT Xiaomi's website itself, which states in more than 1 place on the website, that the Mi4 actually DOES have corning gorilla glass OGS.
How can there be that much confusion of the glass being used... does it have gorilla glass or not?
