Bought 2 of those on October 2016. After 1 year both had to get a battery replacement. The battery went dead. For one of them it may be my fault since I left it drain completely and then charge it, which is wrong for Lithium batteries. However older smartphones I had never had such issues. In addition after a minor fell with a silicon tpu case (table hight drop) the case went black. I replaced it and it works again. Notice that if i did not have the technical skills to carry over the repairs I would have 2 bricked phones or payed a lot in services. Consider the redmi series, or motorola...

Found this cheap on used market, good condition.
Cheaper than a used Redmi Note 3 Pro (which is always be my benchmark point, and is superior on performance)..
Mi series is on higher place than the Redmi Note series, so I have some hope on this Mi 4c, although it's older and slower etc.
Anyway, is it worth to buy this Mi 4c compared to the Redmi Note 3 Pro?

Bought this phone today for $95 (Refurbished) 3/32. I flash MultiRom base on Miui 9.1 (Android 7.0). And the results is simply Awesome.

Here is the ... moreyep, i tempted to buy mi a1, but after seeing a1 doesn't have fast charing im off, mi4c benchmark is higher than a1 aswell on antutu, this phone rock till this day, great camera on daylight but on low light its bad, but a1 doesnt do better too on low light, so i will keep this phone till i have money to buy flagship phone
oh yeah im using android 7.0 with miui 9, and i drop this phone a lot, but this phone is durable as hell

Here is the good list i've got from updating to miui 9
- idk but the speaker seems louder now
- charges faster
- battery life is improved a lil bit
- faster and lighter ui
- split screen
- native screen recorder
And yes as someone below said, I don't think I need to upgrade my phone as well. Perhaps I'll be upgrading when android 9/10 is out

after the miui9 and android nougat update, this phone is blazing termendously superb. planning on changing to mi5, but nope, this phone is still the best bang for buck, can do split screen, can use playstore on china rom, no need to flash, xiaomi still update this phone even it few years old already. maybe because of the sd808. 9/10. if got fingerprint will give 10/10. perfect as a backup phone too. battery still rock after several years of usage

I've been using xiaomi product since 2014 from redmi note, redmi 2, mi4i and now Mi4C.
Mi4C is the best budget phone for me. In terms of the screen 441 ppi man! Oh come on.
And I have Nougat on it, and damn its super sophisticated. The camera itself is so much betteeeer than samsung, even iphone 6.
Cause I love 5.0 inch phone its not make my arms hurts instead of using 5.5 inch phone.
The battery life also perfect, it could last for more than 12 hours (depend on the phone usage). But some of my tips to not activate background process and turn on batteru saver could really help to extend battery Life.
Overall i haven't have a thought to change this phone yet.

Recently at nougat miui 8 stable. Miui 9 coming, currently in beta channel.
Been using this phone for 1 year now. SOT about 4.5 hours in nougat. Really good phone, definitely better than any redmi series in term of performance.
