It has heating issues,BT that normal for all smartphone.its common.it take 2 & a half hour to get fully charged.and drains 10% in one hour that's when u used ur phone for gaming,browsing,downloading.that's normal.in sleep mode abt 6 hour it drain just 1%.I bought did phone from flipkart.it delivers the phone after one day of gapping.now customer service,its good.I have called them for two times yesterday & they are helpful.battery draining fast its common for every smartphone.

I m using dis phone abt 10 days.battery is good but not so good.camera is superb.awesome.panaroma is very bad.very good HDR.play store error 905 solved.superb display.good network reception.good call quality.very good internet.still unable to open Mi account.it shows error.sometimes laggy,but that's OK.not a big issue for me.good performance but not great.gaming is very good,though I haven't play any graphics heavy game.I have played hill climb racing,ICC pro cricket 2015.BTW day light shooting is great,BT in low light performence is average.I have downloaded the night camera+ version 2.22 now the low light imaging is very good.I didn't understand the hand held twilight,performance mode,refocus.I didn't found any great change in imaging & performance with those above three features.download the camera360app or camera zoom fx or any other utility app.they have various shooting mode.that's it.its a great camera smartphone.

I have been using this phone since June and except some petty issues the phone is working fine, it is a good phone in this price range.
Camera is excellent, battery backup is fairly good, net speed is fantastic, other features also works good.
Overall the phone worth to buy....

i had a meizu note & that was crap, switched back to the xiao mi asap. i had a xiao mi 2 and 3, its not great but its not bad. xiao mi is just trying integrated their phones with other devices (kinda like IR blasters build in).
i have the mi4, its great but the mi4i is just horrible. most brand name chinese phone (if not all) are very clever with features that are nice & unexpected, but the base is just horrible period
but its a great phone for a bang of a price for sure

So I received my Mi4i today, which I brought from the flash sale held on Aug 4th on the Xiaomi website.
I switched the phone on without the SIM card. I had to convert my SIM cards to nano, and then I inserted them in the phone. To my surprise, the phone couldn't read either of the SIMs. I thought there must be something wrong with the SIM, so I checked it in my friend's Mi4i and it worked fine in that.
While struggling to find a solution to this, I found several more problems.
1. The system update downloaded, but was not able to install even once, I always checked the version, and it was the stock version, rather than the new 6.6 version. Tried it several times, failed.
2. I could click pictures fine, but Icouldn't record a video from the stock camera app.
3. Youtube couldn't play videos. I tried this before and after updating the app too. It always said Unable to load, video.
4. Downloaded Snapchat, again a problem in video. I could see normal snaps from people, but not the videos.
5. I made a MI account online, but I could never sign in from the phone. It said, Cant get device ID.
6. Sound recorder didn't work.
7. I tried using *#06#, which is used to find the IMEI number, and it showed Invaid IMEI for both the SIMs.
8. I then tried to get in the boot by pressing the navigation key and power button, that showed a screen called FastBoot, but never went ahead.
So many problems I found in less than 8 hours! I didn't expect this from Xiaomi.
I think only my phone could be faulty as I couldnt find similar complaints on the web.
I'll be greatful if somebody could help with this asap.
I'm hoping atleast the service center would not piss me off by keeping me waiting to get a proper functioning phone.

I just used Mi 4i only 7 days but the problem is that when i talk my phone then my phone is too hot like a fry pan. So how to remove this problem?

Mi4i is the worst phone. It gets heated within a few minutes of communication. I have lost 13000 Rs by purchasing Mi4i. Company must withdraw such a defective model from the market.

"Mi4i"....the WORST OF THE WORST Product ever manufactured....
Even I was one of xiaomi fan who had an MI3 and powerbank from MI. Inspired by these products I purchased this Mi4i on the flast sale on 28th July 2015, it took 6 days to deliver the product. On 3rd August I received the handset and was curious to enjoy this piece. But my expectations was in vain, as soon as I switched on the phone, severe heating and batter was at 3% which I thought its common in a new smart phone. So I switched off the phone and put for charge for 4 hours and later switched it On, BATTERY HEATING ISSUE was still there and the BATTERY DRAINING was like flowing water within 1hour the battery was at 10%....
I contacted the call centre for this issue they said me to do some tests and finally said " ITS A BATTERY ISSUE AND ITS COMMON IN ALL Mi4i".
This response was said easily by the call centre person.
Asked me to go to service centre for a free Battery replacement....Man its a new phone and they are easily asking me to waking to a service centre....
Worst and pathetic service and call centre...
I have wrote this to all major online Gadgets reviews.
And more over they are not in a policy of RETURN ORDER which most of the major ecommerce business has it like Amazon and Flipkart.
Please friends never buy this phone, they are cheating people and no service even for day old product....
Worst of the worst service Industry, finally they proved that they are from CHINA...
