Phone is very good...i am using it since Oct2015.. Sometime phone heats but no other problem.. I just updated it to Miui8. new features are good but now phone lags in performance..Status bar and Calling are not looking good now.. I suggest not to uprade to Miui8. As the phone works Awesome in All versions..Far better than miui8

third class phone.third class customer care service.third class service deliverd by service centre.even toll free no 18001036286 is not reachable.my phone is still in service centre sinc last 1.5month.no one is pickup call in service centre.

MIUI 8 installed.Nice features display totally changed bugs gone,smoother phone better camera and battery life WiFi speed improved. Things I have noted.

Since there was issue with the USB drive, I had given my phone to service centre. They have updated the software. But the issue is with the USB drive wherein I cannot charge the phone with any other charger chord.I don’t know what your technical person did with the USB.
Again I went to service centre they told me that the USB has to be replaced & it will take 15-20 days. They told me to give me the phone for 15 days wherein they will replace the USB. Without phone for 15 days to stay is difficult otherwise some standby phone has to be arranged from your end.
Even my sound problem is not resolved. It is not upto the mark.
It is strange that there is no spares available in Xiaomi and it will take 15 days which is surprising that too with phone you have to keep
I am very unhappy with the quality of the hardware within 1 year the phone is giving problems.
The quality & performance of the phone is not up to the standard which the company promised.

I bought 4i in Oct 15. The phone suddenly got switched off while in use. Then it is not able to switch on. I went to service centre, they checked and infoed the phone is OK, battery was reading zero. But when battery usage was checked it showed battery was some 80% and then suddenly become zero. The service centre informed to bring again if the problem is faced and they will flash the software.

Is Enhanced SMS working after MIUI 8 upgrade on Mi4i for everyone in India ?
I am still getting SMS like "VK-FPANDA,BX-ATMSBP,AM-MOBIKW etc" instead of company logos.

Just used it for a couple of hours. Earlier before upgrade, it's a bit laggy. Every app launching and switching need to wait. Now seems faster. What happen I wonder 😑

Worst phone ever, can't root, too much heating, front camera su*k, back,home,option buttom some times works some time not, not dust proof easy, back panel is too weak, its have dual flash can't beat samsung's one flash. sound quality is not so good, and when i hear any song on whatsapp mobile display gets black and after end song display gets on. charging too late 4% in 10mins. Su*k phone ever.
