And yes its completely possible for them to be the third largest manufacturer, because of the reason I stated above.
Besides, Chinese manufacturers may market their flagship phones as contenders to the likes of Samsung and Apple but remember, they also sell it at half the price, meaning that there MUST be a catch to it. So, you should not keep equal standards for Chinese and non-Chinese manufacturers.

Besides, in the context of smartphones if Xiaomi produces bad quality products, how is it possible that they became the 3rd largest smartphone manufacturer in 2014 as well as 2nd largest wearables maker in the world.

this phone design really look like samsung S6, bad news the battery 3000mah is a joke, this device need at least 4000mah to make it different with other, even redmi 3 the cheaper phone xiaomi has a 4100,
cons the battery and the no external storage is the main issue, i like the design so much, but its not enough for me to buy this phone

Hi Xiaomi, I am a big fan of you. In India the biggest 4g service named Jio(Reliance Jio) is going to launch in couple of month with VoLTE support. It support LTE band 1800Mhz & 23000Mhz only. Request you to provide these band support in Mi5 when you launched in India. Please come with Mi5 128gb model in India as well.

Anybody knows which 4G frequencies/bands are supported? The supported bands according to GSMArena don't match the supported bands I see on several other websites. I'm interested in (4G) band 20 (800 MHz)...

Seems rather silly to not push the phone to the US and EU.
Probably legal issues with patents owned by other manufactures in the US and EU.

3000mAh Battery? Really? Xiaomi must have been joking here. 4000mAh and above is ideal.
Front camera 4MP when other brand has a better offer.
I'll stay with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Mi5 is a joke. I'm sad. I'm expecting more for Mi5

Hardware of mi 5 is great but its software is the worst.
Miui lags a lot even on mi 4.
Miui doesnt have enough customization.
