It's not cheaper. It's not value deal.
Because its specs lower than other flagship from big brands.
Xiaomi should make a phone with 100% same specs with others flagship.

now,if only xiaomi unlock the bootloader, i'll just need visit xda and pick best flavor rom.
it's pretty hard to get them unlocked now.

A presentation that delved into the guts of the phone and which is encouraging.
It would be helpful if the route to buying the phone could be better sign posted by Xiaomi, for those of us that have not imported from abroad in the past.
At the price there is a lot of hardware and from those that have used the brand before - you don't hear a lot of complaints

I m really disappointed with mi5. I m using mi3 an it's the most loved phone of my.I realy expected a lot from mi5.that fingerprint I realy don't like at front. If would have been cool at the back. I was expecting a waterproof phone with 21 mega pixels rear at least 8mp front.battery should hv been 4000mah. Hope it has all sensors as mi3 . virtual reality is the new revolution in market. Interested in getting a vr set as well. Hope xiaomi gets into vr soon.rest all is best.fingerprints is realy nt tht necessary element as we have options.

lets see how Mi 5 competes with XPERIA X PERFORMANCE which also has 1080p screen.
i bet its 3000mAh battery will pale in comparison to 2800mAh of XPERIA X PERFORMANCE.
this is where these low price flagships cut on expenses i.e. hardware and software optimization.

This is a very pretty phone. My only gripe about it, is the dimensions of the home button seem off with the size of the bottom bezel. Maybe if they made the button thicker it would be more pleasing to the eye. But other then that, it is a very beautiful phone.

Was waiting for this phone since long time. Looks good but quite disappointed in terms of battery. Should have at least 4000 MH battery.
Lets see how it performs on this battery.
