1. Size are little bit smaller for the needs of larger area nowadays.
2. SD820 are still hella monster even on 2021 on supported apps, rendering and performance.
3. Mi5 still have more than meets the eye
4. Even thou mi5 are more than 4 years older technology, you STILL can use it for daily operational at least 3 years more

Using it since 2016, still good device i use it as second phone and soon it will get android 12 custom roms, can't wait to try it!

I remember when that one came out, I really liked the design. It also was priced like a real „flagship killer“, when OnePlus was already rapidly increasing their prices. Just too bad it didn‘t withstand the Jerry Rig Everything bend test.

Best phone ever. Almost 5 years and still my primary phone. Never changed battery and still can do 1+ days from full charge. Very thankful with dev on supporting the phone with custom rom. MI5 can have Android 11 with it.

Bought it in Oct 2016.
Just changed the battery last week. Put in Original BN22 I bought from Aliexpress. Gives SoT of 7 hours after a new battery. Running Amazingly well. Have the 4gb 64gb version

2021 mi 5 prime update.
Bought this phone (used) off of a mate back in November 2019. this sold just because it had chinese rom on Android 6. After purchase i flashed it with Global 8.0, no issues whatsoever.
battery last around 8hrs with moderate use unless I'm using mobile data then its mostly 3-4hrs. I only use 2a or 1a charger. till 80%
phone heating issue, resolved by diy thermal pad replacement.

3 months ago, after 4years of service my mi 4 is broke ,i just bought next phone is the Mi 5 prime. in the 2021. well. i still prefer my mi4, it fits more hand and weighs heavier than mi 5. i really don't like the new phones these days, partly because i don't have money, and i don't like their design more

Daily Driver. Performance Still Great As Of 2021 Via Official LineageOS 17.1 With Antivirus + VPN (Secure). Battery With SD820 Cant Expect That Great (Boost From Greenify & Disable Feature + Dev Op).

2021 Jan Have changed my battery for 2 twice in last 6month. Now I started to take care of my battery. I try avoid using any fast charging port, charging it overnight and always let the phone release the heat (especially when I gaming i will just remove the case). Now the battery lifespan have improve alot and really hope this phone can stand for another few years
