OP3 VS Mi 5:
USD300-360 vs USD225-300
CAT 6 vs CAT 12 Mi 5 better in LTE stability and speed.
158 g vs 129 g (No comment)
16 MP, f/2.0, phase detection autofocus, OIS, LED flash vs 16 MP, f/2.0, phase detection autofocus, OIS (4-axis), dual-LED (dual tone) flash. Mi 5 better in camera than OP3, no match at all on low light mode and video quality. OP camera quality still below other fav flagship.
Bluetooth: v4.2 vs v4.2 (Draw)
Battery rating: 66h vs 92h (No match; I ever test both device) Plus QC3 is slightly better than Dash Charge in OP3.
Available: OP3? Yes it widely available but not as wide as mi 5? Lets choice example: Indonesia, Thailand, Philippine, Vietnam, and other developing country, it still hard to find OP3 and price is exceed USD300 for 3gb/16gb. Mi 5? USD200-300 (pro&prime), even distributor want to bring it in! Plus, second hand OP3 is fall down around USD185-200! SAD! Most of people upset with battery life.
ROM: MIUI and OOS is equal for me, great update, flow and rich! But in nougat: Sony and Xiaomi is the most optimal and improve battery life compare with other (we talk about flagship). S7 is the worst regarding battery life after upgrade to Nougat. OP3T, getting better by new OSS version.
Mi 5 and OP3T is favorite in many country and clearly in developing country, but OP3 slight disappointment.
Speed test: OP3 is beast in this case and no match if we compare with mi 5 standard (3 gig RAM). But for daily using, both use SD820 so dont let you down.

Yes it bend and broke but how easy? Do you perform JerryRig at home dude so you need phone like tank? Lol No. So stop being hater.
I have mi 5, it sometime slip and still no broke or scratch. No softcase or hardcase! I always put in my back pocket and no bend indication. So why so negative? Hater ha!
Tell me better phone that can compete with mi 5 in price range USD225? SPEC, PERFORMANCE AND BUILT! Have some balls dude!

There are a lot of choice but no phone can compete mi 5 in its price segment. It almost 1 years old phone but if you dont mind, it suit you. But if you perform JerryRig Show at home, choice another phone, yes the phone can break on 2 but not that easy. I'm using mi 5 and it most all I carried it in my back pocked, even I'm driving car/bike, at office, home, coach, sometimes I fall sleep while watching TV and forget the phone in my back pocket, nothing happen and still work well and fast.
I drop it for 5-6 times and nothing break/broken, just a 1 mm scratch for almost a half year using this phone. SUPERB.
I have S7, XZ and still purchase mi5 for my third. Think why!

aftet that also...
the battery performs bad....
all battery draining options like sync, locations... etc are already disabled but
no improvement...
for the 1st week the battery is good but day by day it becomes bad thats what my problem

Hi Guys,
I bought this awesome phone a week back & I'm loving every bit of it. The battery though drains faster than my Redmi Note 3. However all the specs & performance & build quality are all a class apart. I would've liked the in call volume & speakers volume a notch up. No complaints but only praises for this phone. I would recommend this phone to anybody who wants to shell out 23000 INR for a phone. Sometimes the phone heats up though.
Any suggestions on how to increase the battery life? I have disabled the system animations & have upgraded to Android 7 with MIUI 8 Global 7.2.16 Beta yesterday. I will post my comments in a few weeks again. Thanks

when phone is cold everything is fine but when phone heated , its become freeze and restarts immediately ..... is this a bug of rom ?? or hardware problem ??

best display, best camera, looks... moreGo to Settings-->Go battery and performance-->Click on "System Animations"--> Select "Hide system animations"-->Then restart your phone
This setting is pre-applied in phones like Redmi 3s global ROM ..That's why their standby time is amazing despite massive 4100mAh battery..
After restarting the phone, you will get more standby time on your Mi 5

the phone is amazing.....
best display, best camera, looks amazing..
but my problem is the phone battery all are saying that screen on time is 4.30 to 5 hrs...
but my phone achieves only 3 hrs.....
Stand by time is very bad... standby time 10 hrs screen time 3 hrs...
may be my phone is faulty one...
replacement warranty finised..
so i have to adjust and no choices for me
