The phone does not overheat when doing ideal tasks like web browsing, etc

It does get warm when playing demanding games and benchmarking, but not much throttling, but it's acceptable since it's a flagship SD835

Compared to my previous Samsung S6 edge, this phone runs a lot cooler and faster.

You don't deserve to use this phone, budget smartphone is not for you. Only the so called best is suited for you.
For the rest of us, we choose Mi 6 for it's great value.

i used it about amonth, its faster but the cameras will make you dissapointed.
it has a lot of noise in low light both of cameras.
i think the cameras will better than iphone 7+, but im wrong..
i can't take better photo in the night or low light condition..

With 6GB Ram and 128GB Storage plus Snapdragon 835, I will choose this phone rather then any other expensive phone. The only problem I consider about Xiaomi is the heating issue.

User, 07 Aug 2017Why no sd card support??Because that is the norm for XIAOMI high-end flagships

why this camera isnt flagship-grade one :'( so sad ... we deserve one but one real flagship from xiaomi for real... y it is cheaper but that is couse midrange camera inside... cheap camera = cheaper "flagship" :(

Anonym, 05 Aug 2017I fully understand what you are saying, in fact my main dri... moreWell your approach is even deeper. A simple official global rom works for me (at least for now).
There are ways to avoid paying a lot of taxes (done that) but of course you can't really rely on that.
I totally agree on the last one. If Xiaomi did what Oneplus does they would have huge success (although cause of the taxes the price would be pretty much like OP5 :/ ). But their planning is different (working their way up on eastern markets) and I really can't argue about doing so (they have so many employees, financial analysts etc).

Yeah customs are a var... moreI fully understand what you are saying, in fact my main drive when buying a phone is to get whatever has best 3rd-party ROM support (I almost always run LOS). The Mi6 has great potential there, but Xiaomi still hasn't released the kernel sources (which makes it a challenge and better to wait until they do).

As for "pricing", yes, taxes and customs was what I really meant by shipping. My personal experience with a given store that has "EU direct" warehouses is that buying a Mi 6 and shipping to an EU address will cost just about the same as buying the similarly spec'ed OP5 (6GB/64GB). There are places that show much cheaper prices, but if you add the taxes and customs you should pay... they just aren't worth the hassle customs usually give.

Xiaomi really should do as OnePlus, cut the middle-man and ship directly to major markets (without any further hassles).

Anonym, 04 Aug 2017Actually, if you are outside of China (Europe for instance)... moreActually I disagree on a few points. Yeah customs are a variable (shipping is almost always free or a few Euros only), but generally you can find Mi6 much cheaper than 500 Euros (Oneplus 5 official price for Europe). Furthermore, 3rd party retailers almost always sell their phones with crappy custom roms BUT MIUI has a "geeky" nature, meaning that you can officially unlock your bootloader and flash an original ROM (which will probably not support your native language, but then again many won't bother having English as a system language). LTE bands are a real issue (band 20 for me) but not quite a dealbreaker. I am not saying OP5 isn't nice and for sure troubling with ROM's is not for everyone, but MI6 offers a great value for money (and if the prices continue getting lower like Mi5's did, then I will for sure replace my phone).
