For battery replacement, it's better to get branded aftermarket ones rather than so-called "original" or "oem" batteries. Two brands that I've used are Nohon (almost 2 years) and NGS (just a few days so far). Nohon worked great for me.
Also my screen broke less than a year after I bought the phone, and I replaced it with non-branded one from aliexpress. Lasted 2 years until it started turning yellow and flickering (and I've had other amoled phone that the replacement died after not even a year).

mimimishka, 13 Oct 2022download.pixelexperience.org/dipper I recomend install 12 ... moreI advise you to stop flashing custom ROMs on your Mi 8 otherwise you will lose UFS memory basically it will corrupt and died then the phone will become useless and you will have to change the motherboard like what happened to my Mi 8 and to many people who used to flash custom ROMs on their Mi 8.

Im using the phone since 2018 Dec ..
This phone is a beast .. still has better specs than new phones nowaday ..
The phone is anti water and dust .. fell down 1000 times and still works perfectly

I recomend install 12 plus. Im using it right now. Tutorial is there too. But you neet to unlock bootloader first.

Bought it in early 2019 because it was the cheapest flagship at that time. Still using it today, can handle most games fine - best decision since I don't want to upgrade anytime yet. Custom rom makes it much better.
