And as I far as I know Xiaomi don't do Beta outside of China period. Used to, but stopped. Mi 8 MIUI China Stable done, went through 2 or 3 Beta stages. Now waiting on Global Stable release.

I retract all previous statements. At this rate MIUI 12 for MI 8 might be never. Taking too long. Poor from Xiaomi. China stable MIUI for MI 8 is done and released. Now just seems like a long wait for the Global version.

Hasn't the MIUI 12 update been already too late? The Mi 8 is a 2nd wave smartphone and a former flagship, bit still 3rd wave and less distinguished phones are getting the update while Mi 8 sticks to MIUI 11. Has anyone outside of China gotten the update?

as I read in one of the tech news articles and on their official Telegram, Xiaomi Mi 8 will receive its last system update, which is MIUI 12 (until now has not been released for MIUI 12 global stable). The developer will not make any beta updates for Mi 8 which means that in the future Mi 8 will only receive security updates only. The choice might be to buy a newer device.

ThanksWell the phone has very much the same specs so you can't notice any difference but in battery life xiaomi mi 8 excels more in gsmarena test, it's up to you if you like the design of mi 8 or op 6 the camera of mi 8 is much better i watch on comparisons and if you like the os of OnePlus the go for op 6 and if you like mi 8's miui then go for mi 8 but the OnePlus 6 is much more pricey but mi 8 is much cheaper so the most logical phone to buy is mi 8 you can save more get much better camera and the same performance but I think Oxygen os is much better than miui but it's not a big deal you can use a launcher.
