They should have made this version the rugged type, water and dust protection, durable build and bigger battery.. Thus making it the "explorer" model.

This phone dont have protection from dust and water. That is the biggest problem for all Xiaomi phones.

Face ID, under-display (sorta) Touch ID, 18:9, Notch, great battery life, QC4+, DCI-P3 & HDR10 compliant, 4K60 recording, Android 8.1, SD845, 8GB ram and probably the best Android customized UI out there,...for $600 top, what more are you guy really asking for? Remember the $1000 handset out there doesn't even have some of the features I listed above. Jesus what is wrong with people.

Yeah, really, an $1000 handset with 29xx mAh battery and everybody praised it for the battery life and another handset which is expected to be $600 top with a 3K battery is being criticized for having low battery capacity. Really? Do you guy really thinks that the capacity alone decides how long you can use your phone? Bunch of *dio*s. The optimization and how you use your device combine make up the time that the battery can surstain the device. Another things is cool that you guy seem to really give a big **** about 3.5mm, please there are tones of adapters, also 3.5mm is an old-a** technology, 7 out of 10 people won't even mind it disapperance, get over it already. Again with the IP codes, it's a smartphone jesus not a submarine, you don't go swim with it, okay? IP codes alone doesn't decides the device's resistance to the environment, the build quality however, does. I once accidentally dropped my Redmi Note 5 Pro into a pond next to the pavement on a rainy day, picked it up instantly, shaked it a bit and I walked home, no problem to this day, still in warranty. You guy seem to be amatures at this game, really.

Specs are cool and overall phone is very solid, but the following shortcomings I did not like:
1. It does not have memory card slot or atleast smart dual sim / hybrid sim
2. No water proof
3. No headphone jack
4. No radio
5. Only 3000 MAH battery

- no 3.5 mm jack
not so good, what is good enough to buy this (or any other "flagship") these days?
