I am writing after using 1.5 yrs. If you are a average user, phone is fine. But if you heavily use for business like me, then phone is not for you (2 whatsup, emails, 2 sims busy, lots of reminders due to busy schedule, other emails active in chrome, 3 finance apps runs at background, and some other apps for my business). Often when above apps work together, I have memory issues and internet freezes. In every 1-2 days, I close all progs and reboot phone, only after that it works normally.
It shows that only half or 3/4 of rams are busy, but I dont know. Memory boosters etc do not help. I had no such issues with my old S phone, I am going to turn back to GS20x series of it.

2 years old now with this 9t, and it runs like the first day. I looked for another phone, but unless I spend over 1000$ for an android or an iPhone, I won't get anything better. In the end, I m going to keep this phone for another year or two until the battery dies.

super, 13 Mar 2022Why is my mi 9t screen is blue when in a very dark place? I... moreIts normal for AMOLED and OLED phones especially that its super AMOLED there is like an after-image of the text while you scroll right? white text on black? Switch to light mode so you won't experience it again.

This phone is a real fortune. I bought an Samsung A52s 5G, but I still continue to use this while I can use Samsung with dual sim.

Here is my message to Xiaomi, reproduce this phone with 5G capability and a better camera (OIS) , but never think about to remove the 3.5mm jack. It's a must for my phone. Trend is to remove the 3.5mm jack even from the midrange phones, but here is my word I won't buy a phone without it.

Used it for two years. Now someday, the screen went black without any reason. Took it to market and I was told that the screen is dead and new screen is expensive that whole price of phone. I don't recommend it to anyone.

I have this phone for about 3 years, i bought it by July 2019, and until now all i can say is good things. It worked flawless until now, good camera, fingerprint unlock on screen ,fast ,nice OLED screen ,the pop up camera is great and the software is really nice. The only problem is the battery ,after 3 years is expected to reduce the lifetime and that what is happening. I have to charge it twice a day, but the charge is fast , i guess because the battery is not able to fully charge anymore.I have to consider buy another phone ,but i will be sorrow to drop his one.Overall it´s a bargain.Well done Xiaomi because my previous phone , a Samsung Edge 6 for which i payed the double lasted 2 years before the battery run dried.

I own it since 2 1/2 years an shave no complains

alphamachina, 28 Feb 2022Great phone, awesome specs for the price, but after only a ... moreI'm in the same boat here (U.S. on a Mi 9T, recently lost service from AT&T). They sent me a Galaxy S9+ that I've been using for calls and stuff for the last few weeks, but I like it way less than the Mi 9T.

I'm considering switching to T-Mobile -- I checked my device's compatibility on their website by the IMEI number (see link below), and it looks like on their network it is partially supported. Might be worth a look.

Great phone, awesome specs for the price, but after only a year 1/2 of owning it, it now no longer works on AT&T, because despite being a 4G phone, the bands don't align properly with AT&T's 4G voice bands, so it always used their 3G voice. Well, AT&T just dropped 3G service, so now I can still text and use data, but can no longer make or receive calls with my phone. What a farce. Now I have to buy a new phone, and nothing I can find for around this price has specs even close to it, aside from the Moto One Ace 5G, and while it has some good specs, the IPS screen is a HUGE downgrade from the Mi 9T's AMOLED HD screen, plus it costs more. I'm just depressed about this entire thing.

Guys what update did you get from ota? Miui 12.5 looks so pessimistic imo. I love the phone and still using but latest update is based on Android 11 miui 12.1.4 and security patch is June 2021. Am asking to myself all these waiting for just 2 years of android and security updates? Damn!

Installed Xiaomi EU Rom (custom rom) and it's now even better. Except with the battery (which can be easily replaced) it's still solid for an almost 3 yr old phone. I'm using it now as a secondary phone and I'm planning to keep it as much as I can. One of the best phones Xiaomi has ever made.
