alphamachina, 28 Feb 2022Great phone, awesome specs for the price, but after only a ... moreI'm in the same boat here (U.S. on a Mi 9T, recently lost service from AT&T). They sent me a Galaxy S9+ that I've been using for calls and stuff for the last few weeks, but I like it way less than the Mi 9T.
I'm considering switching to T-Mobile -- I checked my device's compatibility on their website by the IMEI number (see link below), and it looks like on their network it is partially supported. Might be worth a look.

Great phone, awesome specs for the price, but after only a year 1/2 of owning it, it now no longer works on AT&T, because despite being a 4G phone, the bands don't align properly with AT&T's 4G voice bands, so it always used their 3G voice. Well, AT&T just dropped 3G service, so now I can still text and use data, but can no longer make or receive calls with my phone. What a farce. Now I have to buy a new phone, and nothing I can find for around this price has specs even close to it, aside from the Moto One Ace 5G, and while it has some good specs, the IPS screen is a HUGE downgrade from the Mi 9T's AMOLED HD screen, plus it costs more. I'm just depressed about this entire thing.

Guys what update did you get from ota? Miui 12.5 looks so pessimistic imo. I love the phone and still using but latest update is based on Android 11 miui 12.1.4 and security patch is June 2021. Am asking to myself all these waiting for just 2 years of android and security updates? Damn!

Installed Xiaomi EU Rom (custom rom) and it's now even better. Except with the battery (which can be easily replaced) it's still solid for an almost 3 yr old phone. I'm using it now as a secondary phone and I'm planning to keep it as much as I can. One of the best phones Xiaomi has ever made.

This phone is excellent luckily I got the phone without ads. After 2 years and a couple months I think, the phone is very good but when I do gaming it gets warm up to 38 degrees celsius playing CoD:M hehe.. The phone slurps and uses signal very efficiently even at place with nearly no signal it searches and takes it really good. So if you thinking on buying this in 2022, its great.

One of the worst phones I've ever owned! Firstly, it went completely soft bricked with no support to bypass the firehose anywhere on the internet, as I wasn't planning to customize my phone. It took me literally 4-5 months to getting my hands off this problem and then came across only one person who could do me favor to restore this frickin phone! Frank, I paid $10 charge to solve this problem since no one has the firehose! So if you see this message I suggest you NOT TO CONSIDER this phone as your daily driver if you're interested on buying this phone secondhand!

2 years later it's still working smoothly. No lag or jitter anywhere in the system. The only issue I have is a faulty screen that has an insane blue smear on the lowest brightness in a dark room. Unfortunately I mainly use my phone for reading before bed so I'm thinking of getting a new IPS phone to dodge the OLED issues altogether. If it wasn't for that I'd probably be using it for 3+ more years easily.

I Google that you can disable it, but in a fact, there is no Dual apps in the list. So I can't disable it for Telegram and Whatsapp. ;(

been using this phone for 2-3 years now having an issue with the front cam not working but overall nice phone as I can still use it as daily driver

After updating my phone to android 11, I always have some issues with the messenger bubble. Sometimes it is showing and sometimes not. I always have to rotate my phone everytime I want a bubble. Already updated my messenger to the latest version.
Little bite desapointed.

It's been 2 year since the first time i turn it on.
There is no reason for me to change it to another brand new smartphone. Even my battery is worst earlier, but i decided to replace it and now it feels like a new again. 😁

Still got it after little over 2 years, biggest issue I ever faced and still do sometimes is lag after switching between one space to second, if done too quickly it knows to cause imput lag on keyboard for some reason.
Other then that best phone I ever had, definitely will keep it for a year or two more.
