we could change camera result by enabling HAL3 on build prop and install GCAM HDR+.
Thats how to fix noise on lowlight, you can see the comparison between stock cam and gcam (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=labVvLSXyhA). But honestly video result is not a good one on the price range. Moto g5s plus has better video result even though photo result is better on mi a1(on stock cam).

Hhh, 02 Mar 2018Best camera just like dslrlow light & artificial light conditions photo very bad, picture already dark, not like DSLR at all, in fact is worst than Mate 10 lite, Honor 7X, Samsung J7pro, Moto GS5plus, is the worst midrange phone camera.

my first android phone (before Iphone user), for myself important was a dual sim... I'm using the last two months. fast, never ever was a system problem, freezing etc. I' like this phone! new updated android, but now I'm waiting the last update...

T... moreThe original question was Is MiA1 good ? which phone is better, so what's wrong with recommending Iphone X & Note 8 which have the Best camera in current market ? I too recommend S8 & S8+ which come with huge discount when S9 & S9+ been launched.
MiA1 has one of the worst camera for midrange in fact all Xiaomi phone has lousy camera & bad GPS reception, update with full of bugs just to mention a few.
I would even recommend S7edge if he don't mind older phone.

Overall it's a great smartphone (5/7, perfect score) except that the official camera app lacks electronic image-stabilization (but it can be enabled using Magisk modules) and sometimes my device doesn't lock the display during a call (maybe it's a human error because this phone is taller than my previous one).
