Bad news for those who expect Xiaomi to release Oreo update for MiA1 by end of 2017 which is about 2 more days, apparently Xiaomi can't keep up to the promise when there launch MiA1.
The Oreo update will only begin seeding by 1 week of f January, as the update is done in batches so you may need to wait till 2nd week of January for your update.
Mind you this is only tentative release date, there are also rumours that the update may postponed to 2nd week of February just before Chinese lunar New year which is on 3rd week of February.
So don't hold your breath waiting for Oreo, I may be a long wait.

This mobile is not for those who want there mobile to be tough and for those who cant handle it softly, it is very delicate and slippery to handle. I had MI4 mobile earlier which was very well built and used for more than two years and with stand many falls.
Not even one week after buying this mobile, just for FIRST fall from 3 feet of height and the mobile screen shattered in to pieces and to change that it costed me around 5200 Rs.
So my suggestion is to think twice before you buy as it is very delicate. Hope this helps while making a right decision.

It's the best smartphone I ever had. It IS full metal body, very quality built. Battery lasts for 2 days and fully charges in 2h. It's fast and reliable device. First I was skeptic since I got use to MIUI, but Vanilla Android is doing miracles on this phone

Sometimes the screen does not turn off while on a call or sometimes it wakes up during a call. This causes ear or cheek to touch the screen. It is an OS issue. Hope this issue gets resolved in the Oreo update

Don't purchase
It's not a fully metal body
It's plastic cover only
Battery drains very soon
Some irritates while using hands free
They provided beneath side of phone

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2017It better to be late than buggy, I don't mind Google slow d... moreThe only "fault" I can see with Sony is there are some features that aren't found on their "flagship" phones such as no systemwide dark mode (nothing available on the Themes option and changing the launcher still won't change the white background of Settings tray), apps tray icon still cannot be removed and no selfie cam screen flash option - all of which are available on other phones such as Motorola and Samsung.
So, yes updates are quicker with Sony but not buggy.

Isn't XZ considered Flagship range like Samsung S series ?
Who gonna buy flagship if low midrange getting faster update than flagship ? lol...
