Bought this after my mi5 pro got screen issue. not bad, fast, need broad day light to use stereo camera function. low light picture quality, screen, and everything basically can't compete with 1 year+ old mi5 pro.. but still valuable for money. the body seems copying iphone 6+. holding mi5 ceramic back cover feel more premium than this metal body. need to use housing to avoid scratch.

but having says that every phone will have risk of camera lense getting scratch.

I just bought A1 4 days ago.
1- I just notice that (it is not an issue nor a problem, but) the phone is quite hot during charging using its original charger. I did charge using original charger from S8, and it's not that hot.
2_ charging quite fast using its original charger. From 13% to 100% took only 1hr30min.
3- i dont why some people manage to have like 30% battery at the end of the day with heavy use. While i only managed to have only 20% with min usage (allo, WhatsApp and IG only, no fb no youtube no game)

Someone said the 2X zoom is not switching to telephoto lens.
And I just realised that it only happens when you are in low light conditions. If you use 2X zoom in very good lighting conditions, it will switch to telephoto lens.
The only problem is the video quality I cannot set to 4K default. The camera always set automatically to Full HD every time I open camera app and I have to manually set to 4K in order to take video. By the way, the Full HD full zoom is so pixelated, that's why I choose 4K video.

All those you mentioned are actually Redmond Note 4 problem, Since MIA1 don't run on MiUi runs but runs on Pure Android, it have non of the above problem.
My Mi3 has all this problem, because MiUi is very heavy UI & consume a lot of RAM.

Anonymous, 13 Nov 2017which is better phone Mi A1 or Mi5? for Camera...about the same, both has pro & cons, Mi5 has OIS MiA1 has duo lense & optical zoom.
But Mi5 doesn't have micro SD card slot, so the 32GB need to share with apps, games, system files, photo & video, which always run out of space.

So far my is working fine, no issue whatsoever.
