There should be no problem of any shock if you use original charger. If you use other companies charger with USB -C port, it will give some or the other issues like shock, over heating, slow charge, touch screen issues etc. Hence always use original charger only. I have come across many such cases. Everything gets sorted out once original charger is plugged in.
Second issue about metal body. It's great built. What is so cheap in it?? Any metal surface you tap, will give you tok tok sound. Where will you get an aluminum body phone at a tag of just 15000/-????
I was first customer of this handset and till this day I have no problem of any kind.
Every gadget needs to be used in a particular way along with it's accessories. Moment that is altered, there will be problems.

Hi, friends I bought mi a1 yesterday , I got some doubt and issues!!
1, while I'm charge my phone , back side of the phone I'm getting little shock, what I do??? Have to return or have any solution?
2 , the metal body feels some kind of cheap.. if I press sides and tips of my phone, some tok noises coming ...!!!
Pls give me some solution..

This is more important than a phone update is an August ot October updates...rofl
I couldn't care much as long as the phone works & no bugs after the update.

Anonymous, 19 Oct 2017Try write a inquiry to Google ask them to give you a full 5... moreafter updating august patch, i too had 1060 MB of update stating it as october update. After updating my phone for 1060 ,i was shown that system is upto date with october update having done.

note 4xHeard of economy of scale ? just like how car manufacturer share a same engine & gearbox for many car model.
Qualcomm only produce a few new CPU & GPU each year, so the choice is limited, Moto GS 5, Zenfone 3 & Lenovo P2 also using same CPU & GPU.
Snapdragon 625 is a frugal chips as it uses 14nm, so nothing wrong for Xiaomi to use it for both Redmi Note 4X & MiA1
