I have MI 1A... moreIt's absolutely normal.
If you check memory break up list, it will show 7.87 gb for system, which means Android is occupying that amount of memory out of 64 gb. Android is required to run your phone.
RAM also shows the number used by system and other apps. Out of total RAM , 1 gb is used by Android system. It is required by system to run your phone. There can be no compromise on that.
I use MiA1 and I consume only 2.5 gb RAM at Max. It's actually good. If it had been Samsung, it would have consumed nearly 3.5 gb of ram, with nothing to spare.
Please understand the working of gadget and don't be misguided by ignorant people.

AnonD-578275, 30 Sep 2017Which one is best in performance mi a1 or j7 primeIf you take CPU into account, both are mostly same. But in case of GPU, it's a different story altogether. The Mali T830 in J7 prime just doesn't cut it.

System storage 8gb which is normal for non clean OS, so I have 24gb free space. Xiaomi a1 has 58gb out of 64 gb and 8 are system reserved and that's clean Android phone. SCAM. Also I have 1.85 gb free out of 3gb with 100apps installed and more.

I have MI 1A... moreHi, it is a very normal issue there. Every phone storage will have few gigabytes lesser as advertised or standard storage space like 16GB, 32GB, 64GB. Technically reason is simple, yes it's for the system.
For the RAM, RAM is designed to be allocated with programs and instructions. Free ram is a must but not many because it will be wasted. The ram management system that efficient is more important which depend on the software.

If only 25 lite apps installed the ROM should have minimum 63.99GB & RAM should be 3 99GB balance, you must returned the phone, probably there is spy ware pre installed to secretly sent your information, pictures & videos to China Intelligent Agency, there looking forward to recruit you to be their James Bong 007 agent... lol

Hi guys
Please reply me for following query.
I have MI 1A in which I got 58 gb of storage out of which nearly 8 gb is used by system.
Also I have installed 25 lite apps other than system apps but it is using almost 2 gb of RAM and that lefts only 1.5 gb of available ram .
Is it normal? Please help me guys.
