AnonD-519850, 21 Aug 2017why do Devs keep putting the Snapdragon 625 on newer phones... morewhen not running a heavy skin the 625 can do smooth 1080p UI and video playback with amazing battery life. its not a gaming beast but it isn't intended to be :)

SD625 has more than acceptable performance for the mid range and great battery life.

why do Devs keep putting the Snapdragon 625 on newer phones? It has worse performance than the snapdragon 800 from 2013. At least put a 652/653 good autonomie and performance.
If Devs put the 625 on phones nowadays it's just to make them cheap but heck, the phone feels like it's on a mediatek Soc. At least the SD800 was pure performance disregarding battery consumption.
I will gladly pay 400dollars if it comes with a 653
