Or perhaps i always charge my phone in air conditioned office or at night when i am home, so the room temprerure is around 20-25°C

DraganPagan, 17 Jan 2019I have same issue,but only while screen is on during chargi... moreI was looking for reasons too, but some of Mi A1 users says "its okay, its normal for the phone to heat up, just close any recent apps open". I also remove my case when charging even put mini fan just to blow away the heat. I hope it will be okay soon.

Google's Android 9 (Pie) does not support Phone Call Recording facility.

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2019I didn't faced any heating issue during charging after Pie ... moreI always clear my recent apps used. I also removed my case when charging I guess it would be better if I turn off my phone when charging and see if it still heats up. Thank you!

Updated to Pie and only issue is louder notification sound even though i set to lowest. everything else smooth except some weird scrolling on chrome

Few days on Pie January Update:
- SoT on WiFi slightly better, 4G drain I didn't test enough;
- adaptive brightness needs to be patched, jumps from 20-30 to 60-70 in low light if you approach you monitor for example;
- UI is kind of awkward in some places, it's subjective I suppose (features which are designed for smartphones with notch, applied for those without notch);
- digital wellbeing, wish they kept the apps time used in battery tab like Oreo;
- 10 new mini features

giwonne, 17 Jan 2019After android pie update, I'm having trouble with my phone ... moreI didn't faced any heating issue during charging after Pie update, perhaps you should check any apps hogging that may have cause your phone to overheat.
Try not to run any apps in background or use your phone while charging.

Android Pie update: increased problems with 4G and bluetooth, but drastic battery usage improvement. Hope to see an update with network fixes soon.

There were some... moreNot worth to update to Pie as Nougat still the most stable among all, if one can live without FM Radio Widget then there is nothing worthy in Pie update in exchange for inaccurate GPS, problematic 4G & Bluetooth, not forgetting the annoying Google bar at the bottom & low default brightness.

There were some minor issues with one update, but so far android pie, 9 is ok.
