Hello Fellow Mi A1 users, if yoi don't want any issues and if you want a better experience with your Mi A1, my suggestion is you flash a custom rom. I myself use a custom rom which is Pixel Experience android 8.1. it is a stable custom rom with no bugs. There are alot of custom roms like Lineage OS, Dot OS, CrDroid and RR. I'm sure you will find a rom of your liking.

I got the pie update 3 days ago
The screen brightness became more efficient specially on sunlight
The battery improved
The sound and mic improved
The system ui dissapeared (-ve)
I cannot get red of google search box nor weather widget (-ve)
Overall better than before

admiral, 09 Jan 2019i recieved that 71MB update but cant install it , it fails Reboot your phone, it could be some previous update cache still causing it to reject the update.

Seem like the GPS getting improvement after the 71.5MB January patch, although is still take a long time to lock into position, but definitely better, as for Bluetooth i have yet to try out.

After about 1¼ minute message came Restart now.
On restarting No change in Bluetooth.
About GPS do not know..
Seems downloading has not taken place ....more confusion now .

A 71.5MB patch is available for those who have already update to Android Pie earlier, Hopefully it solve the GPS & Bluetooth issue.

Today I updated my A1 to 9.0. From Bulgaria. At the moment everything looks stable and runs smoothly.

If you guys want the Pie update so badly, it's very easy to root your device and flash a custom rom, look it up...although I myself am sticking with a custom Oreo rom because I don't like the UI changes in Pie.

After Pie update, my Google Map Navigation totally useless, can't lock into position even at outdoor & city centre.
Took out my sim card & insect into a Samsung phone, GPS position lock within 2 seconds.
Obviously something wrong with the Pie update.

wht I think of these a1 phones....these are great I hve mi a1 nd it's really great I got pie like a week ago nd not a single issue... before pie there some issues nd they always get solved with monthly patches. I'm really used to it the way it's interfere it Can't think of anyother phone other than a2 of pixel or iphone....but rest are carp evem moto'a a1 phones are too nothing against this
