i noticed an issue with Oreo 8.1 July update (2nd edition), The white LED notification light no longer blink when there's a message, the LED notification just stay on, this problem when i have message come in while charging, as i can't tell when there a message.
Even when i not charging the phone, i would have miss the message as non blinking LED notification light will not catch any attention.
What's wrong with Xiaomi? making so many silly mistake on each update.

Yes its a good update. Improves battery life, no problems.

Oreo 8.1 cause battery to drain faster, usually i will have around 35% battery by end of the day, now i end up with 25%, tested for few days same result, SOT drop from 6hr to 5.5hr.
Another bad update.

Just updated to 8.1.0 also. I love AndroidOne program. :) Guys from GsmArena, please update the phone description to include the newest Android version (8.1.0) available for the device.

zellax, 19 Jul 2018i have none of these issues.i have the low volume thru ear phone problem as well, need to increase the volume, but if i do that some hissing sound will appear, the white tinted screen appear once & gone after i restart the phone.
i too have network unusable issue & GPS disconnect issue, often i lost navigation guide due to this issue, now i only use my Samsung for Navigation as GPS is very important for me.
Most probably I'll replace MiA1 with Nokia 6.1 plus once it launch in my country.

Just updated to 8.1, Its an awesome update guys. No bugs, new launcher is superb although i use Nova launcher prime, everything is polished, looks very neat. Awesome job xiaomi. Exited for Android PepperMint.

I... moreI factory reset my phone twice, the problem still persist , now i discover another issue, there is a white tint below the screen (is quite obvious of i use a dark wallpaper), this happen after the 2nd July update, when plug in ear phone the sound very low & some disturbance noise appeared, i try 3 different ear phone & 1 headphone, all getting same result, i try those ear phones & head phone with other phone & no issue
This is obviously bug in Oreo 8.1 update by Xiaomi.

That's quite disappointing because the Mi A1 was one of the best phones I have ever had in terms of audio, and they ruined it. I'm very regretful for updating, with I would've known that earlier.

Guys, stop. I had the same problems after the 8.1 update. I just factory reset the phone and bam - all of the problems disappeared! Just factory reset your phone, and it'll be good as new! Just remember to save your contacts, photos, etc.

Xiaomi is really giving crap update to MiA1, Google giving same Stock android Oreo 8.1 updates to Nokia but didn't have this issue, so obviously is Xiaomi fault.

Is anyone else having really mediocre audio performance through headphones after the 8.1 update? The sound is really low and has a terrible distortion.:(

i just upgraded to android 8.1, and the phone became slower like the fingerprint sensor, opening and switching apps, anybody having this issue??
the update size was more than 1000 MB
is there a newer update?

Most gathering are in indoors & night time, this is the time people taking lot's of photos.
Xiaomi cutting cost by using Omni lense instead of Sony lense.
