I've bought this phone a week ago, for about 150 euros, the global version. So far i'm satisfied, battery seem great - it holds 2 days average use (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, taking and editing pics etc.), camera is awesome even in low light conditions it doesn't seem to take bad pictures, portrait mode is amazing and built in photo editor have great features. The flashlight is kinda strong. I like the fact that it has stock android so it doesn't have unnecessary built in apps, only the basics, so you can optimise it as you wish. No lags, no bugs so far. The sound from it's speaker is good, the fingerprint works fast and smooth (and the option to use it as scroll for the top screen menu), the IR blaster works great on my TV even from 5 meters distance. Gyro is fine no flows there. So far i'm very satisfied, nice smoot, fast and long lasting battery phone with great screen and resolution. I think in near future xiaomi will become brand such as huawei, remember the beginnings of huawei? Most of the people were like "another chinese cheap bullshit" but it became sinonim for quality and great phones

I tried many file managers from ES explorer, FX file explorer, Asus file manager and even the internal file manager. Every app had the same issue. Finally Xiaomi file explorer is the only app that is working right. So I'm currently using Xiaomi file manager.

If you hold the phone up straight when the game requires you to move the phone left/right, instead of the character stands still in the middle, it goes to left.

i am facing serious problem after April update. the problem is start from downloading app from play store. it doesn't get network at all and download speed is too low. it needs 10 minutes to download a 4 MB apps. the problem is only on cellular network but wifi network is good. but on cellular network i tried from different apps like crome and opera mini are speed as like before and those apps download speed always 500kb plus. plz anyone have solution for this.

Recently, hate the gyroscope, as it a bit uneven while gaming, touch screen sensitivity lower and apps seem to reload after closing them, not sure why they dont stay in ram like fb and insta, but solid phone overall.

I got this phone,
But as here informed Price about 170€ is not correct.
14.4.2018 Greece and Finland about 250€, I bought 64Gb SD card price about 300€, so plenty of space.
No rooting necessary because its true android.
It Updated itself to Oreo already.
Experience:
- drawbacks so far
Even Screen is nice and big the problem is that screen is wide almost to the ends, so you mistouch the screen easily when holding it. so it needs some cover to get better grip, also phone is quite slippery.
- Some errors that Phone informs that "line is Stopped or Gmail is stopped" and they actually aren't. But I'm sure will be fixed soon because updates are quite frequent from Google. Its truly integrated with Google, no need MiUI, I don't know is even possible to install it.
- Phone address book and calling system bit shitty, because cannot edit number later easily, have to do bit difficult. It calls straight to the number if number in list is touched, no chance to edit it straight, should have some middle stage where to edit, at least to need that option.
- Phone is fast enough, "OK Google" system is still rigid. not very much help, it only looks answers in the internet, opening the phone by voice, I haven't found solution yet. there are many options, but some are hard to find. offers usually youtube as solution.
- I'm missing true Amoled screen, that can turn off pixels, so become as black. to Save energy, Battery charging time very low, charges quickly. don't eat battery too bast.
Other than these minor drawbacks I think it has good value for money.

Hi friends, I am having a bit of a problem with the mi a1. The issue is, when I try to move any files from the internal storage to the SD card, the file size is always 0 kb. I am aware of this but only recently. On further research, I came to know that this is a widespread issue related to Oreo update. Any help is highly appreciated!!
