It's true about the price I got it for ₱10,990( about $220-200) I chose black variant and it's good the performance or overall ratings.
But the one problem that you may seem knows is the low signal strengths. I came from the Philippines and my area was probably open and the half kilometer far from the nearest cell sites. I felt disappointed cause my Sony c4( which has touch problem) is showing me a good performance relating to data network and giving me a satisfying performance. There's rumors that black variant made from China is defect but no one knows there's not a perfect cell phone so be contented

No it has not. It is pure Android. Just two apps of Xiaomi inside. Camera and MiRemote to manage other devices via infrared.

Battery life has improved after March update. 8hrs SOT, Quite unbelievable. Earlier it was 7hrs.

Received the March 2018 update yesterday. Great phone for the $. I am in the USA and have no trouble with phone working on TMobile Network 4G LTE . I travel a lot and in the last month i have used the phone in Toronto Canada, Buffalo, Atlanta, Charlotte, Boston....Great phone.
