I appreciate Xiaomi for halting the Pie updates, because at the moment I'd rather have a reliable phone running Oreo than a buggy phone running Pie.
Yes, the proximity sensor is still a bit flawed, I'll give you that.

Almost becoming an Useless "android ONE" phone as of 10 Dec 2018.
1. 2018 Android One Phone, but not getting Android Pie due to halted update from too many bugs
- Search Mi a2 Pie halted for reference
- Search lis t of Mi A2 Pie bug
2. MI 8, pocophone, mi mix 2 and even MI A1 already getting Pie Update - as of 10 Dec 2018
- Search xiaomi device received Pie
3. Software update that loses to pretty much every other 2018 xiaomi phone -even mi a1.
- it supposed to be... Better...
4. buggy existing Proximity sensor, dim on outdoor, bright on indoor,
5. Mi 8, pocophone receiving new Google Camera APi2 support, but mi A2 Doesn't.
and 960 Fps recording but again mi a2 can't even record 240 fps options at all.
a pretty useless optimized phone for pretty much nothing to be optimized.

This phone's camera is very bad quality when focus on a object or a thing with portrait mode it's not stable on a ryt target it moves around seconds by seconds & not blur on the target area very bad blur quality it has been cover only 2metre area to blurr. If we talking about it's sensor when we pick / dial a call and put the phone on the ears it's light is blink & perform other function without any command like call on speaker phone without any activity or put the call on hold or put the call 9n mute mode that a big drawback of this phone....... I don't have ever used this type of phone if somebody wants to buy this phone so plz be aware from the features give in comment carefully......

I have trouble with camera focus when im filming. Never had this much trouble on my other phones. Camera tries to focus every few seconds. Does anyone knows the solution, and i dont have this problem while taking pictures.

Had this phone for a few days now and I like it. Stock android feels smooth and responsive, and every game I've tried has run really well. I think the screen is really good with deep blacks and popping colors. maybe not as good as a super amoled, but for an LCD it looks good. As some say though, it doesn't go very bright.
the battery isn't great, especially when playing games it drops quite fast. But it lasts through a work day no problem.
The camera is good. Dark photos can be blurry, but in light conditions the photos are sharp and nice. Video stabilization works really well (but only for 1080p)
As some people have pointed out the proximity sensor is a bit weirdly placed, but after learning to hold the phone a bit further back to the head when calling, it's no longer a problem.
Overall I think if you can live with the battery, and with that it doesn't have a headphone jack, it is a really good budget phone

Overall quite disappoint with MiA2

mina, 07 Dec 2018I want to ask the users about the battery performance and t... moreThe battery is good enough for average users. If you use your phone a lot and play a lot of games you might want a phone with a bigger battery, though.
The screen brightness is... alright. It doesn't feel dim indoors, but it can get a bit hard to see outdoors on a sunny day.
The camera is really good for the price. Look up samples.

hi gsmarena, i just wanna know that who does the rating point in different mobile reviews? how come MI A2 gets a bad rating point of 3.5, and Redmi note 6 pro gets a 4.1? please explain
