I've been using this phone for a couple of months and I have to admit for only $150 it really surprised me.
Though you will have to make some adjustments I personally think that the Mi A2 Lite has something that the Mi A2 doesn't actually a few somethings....
For $150 the Mi A2 Lite brings a large 4000 mAh battery, a headphone jack, an alright 12MP camera, and android 8.0 oreo out of the box that can now be upgraded to android 9.0 pie, as well as one last major update from google too.
However this phone wouldn't be so cheap if the consumer didn't have to make some compromises such as a notch that after a while just is annoying to look at, a micro Usb port instead of type-c, bad low light pictures, a super slow processor that wasn't as bad at first but is now just over all too slow for a day to day use, a slippery metal build, no wireless charging, and only one bottom firing speaker when for some reason they put two speaker grills.
my point is that this phone will not replace your galaxy s8 or pixel 2 xl especially if you're used to flagship materials.
over all for what you will be getting it is a good deal, you still get a headphone jack, you will have a notch but with a notch hider it's way more usable and you still get that 4000 mAh battery if you have a note 5 or a pixel and want something different with a more modern design I say go for the Mi A2 Lite this phone will not disappoint you and it still gets security patch updates and the soon to be released android 10.

I'm using this phone for almost 1 year, at first it's great compare to my previous phone. but then I don't like it's wifi connection.. my husband and I send a feedback regarding to it's wifi connection. till now they didn't resolve it. it leaves me a bad experience in its brand.

Been using this phone for a month and here's what i found.
pros
- android one ofc
- decent camera since upgraded to pie
- decent perfomance(pubg on low settings 30fps average,40fps on mobile legends)
- fingerprint swipe for notification(really love this features)
- 7/10 speaker
- 3.5audio jack
- battery last for 2 days with light use
- really,it is a superb budget phone.
cons
- mine aren't sturdy(got a soft spot on the phone,it makes cracking sounds idk)
- sometimes when you play games,the notification bars doesn't appear to be blacked out instead showing the activity before opening the game,probably fixed soon)
- not so fast fingerprint scanner
- usb 2.0(idc tbh)
- side button aren't clicky
- single speaker, you'll ended up covering it i swear
in a budget category,it is a solid 8/10 phone.recommend

Anonymous, 20 Feb 2019Are you from what country sir??? U mean Pie is not good😱😱😱I m from Pakistan and switch my phone and lost 25% amount. Bad experience. Before switching also contacted MI support but the instruction they gave me did not work. I think while 4g ON on one sim and the other sim not working was software issue, may be MI will fix it in next update. I didnt used it in oreo. I liked the phone but only because of this issue switched to Samsung again.

3 of my schoolmates have this device and they complained how there was no kick users from hot-spot option.
Even my 3 year old Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 has an option to kick users. Is there any way to enable such option, or find any app that could kick certain selected users from hot-spot?

I used this phone for like 4 months and i have to say 0/10.! this is the worst phone ever.i hate this.huawei y9 2018 is soo much good in performance side.and i reccommand buying y9 2018.

Only your unit makes a crackling noise, and the back lid gives in, when pressure applied, GSM Arena.
Mine arrive yesterday and it's sturdy as concrete.
One of the best battery ever. And what I like most: perfect hand fitting size.
Best budget phone.
