Snapdragon 665 is working very well and smooth with android one. I haven't experienced any lag so far. As for the resolution, personally I don't have an issue, but I suggest you take a look yourself at the store before making a decision.

Sergio, 31 Aug 2019Has this phone received any updates since its release? I'v... moreYes it has only received a security update for August. They didn't fix the camera shutter lag yet. The only solution now is to install gcam, which solves this problem and produces better photos.

Has this phone received any updates since its release?
I've read somewhere that its camera shutter is slow, i.e. that it takes a full second to take a photo. Hoping for a fix.

Zaff, 30 Aug 2019Yes but rarely.... Mostly while reading small text Doctors says 300 ppi is enough for human eye and above 300 is wastage. One can also read blogs. So I think 720 isn't a big issue. Yes screen quality may matter if someone doesn't like the display.

Meow, 29 Aug 2019I WILL BUY Xiaomi Mi A3 next month (because is within my bu... moreOk well, I would just advise you to go to a store and take a look at the phone, as said the screen delivers a combo of over saturated colors and very low resolution, actually your old samsung phone will deliver much higher PPI than this. If ater playing with it you still like it then it's ok to buy.
I would very much recommend you the much better redmi note 7 pro, price is almost the same and camera won't disappoint (48mp as well), it's faster and the display is more detailed with more natural colors. I mean just take a look at it if you can.

I WILL BUY Xiaomi Mi A3 next month (because is within my budget though), upgrading from my old phone, the Samsung Galaxy A3 2016 (still an excellent phone for me though haha, i will miss her sob sob). Despite being said that the Mi A3 is such a deal breaker or "don't buy this" stuff from youtube and other reviews of social media/threads or on gsmarena itself, I find it is going to be a huge improvement from my old phone, like 300% increase in performance. I WILL BUY IT no matter the bad review about it, because of the SAMOLED display, I WILL BUY, and because of the camera is somewhat excellent and almost similar to the good old Samsung Galaxy S8+ quality, I WILL BUY it. That's my honest and good opinion about Xiaomi Mi A3. Thanks for reading my opinion though, I'll appreciate it.
PS: I am 20 year old guy and kinda outdated about phone techs today, so please don't get mad or rant about my holy opinion, please be nice heh. ^-^

Finally got to see and try the phone in person. Even without a side-by-side comparison, the 720p screen is very evident. With a side-by-side comparison, it was just terrible. I have a Galaxy S8 (running at 720p) and a Redmi Note 5AI. The screen was pale and pixelated, brightness was also too low. My Note 5 takes photos faster than the A3 as well. Such a wasted opportunity since an A3 Pro doesn't seem likely. Might as well go for the Note 8 or Note 8 Pro.
