Asus Zenfone ultra is much better than this. ZF ultra comes with 23 MP, f/2.0, laser/phase detection autofocus, OIS (4-axis), dual-LED (dual tone) flash.
But Mi Max comes only with 16 MP, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash
No OIS in Mi Max. And smaller sensor and smaller pixels.
And ZF Ultra comes with USB type 3 and enables faster recharge then USB type 2 Mi Max.
Asus is much reputed company than this Chinese Xiaomi. Better to buy Zenfone Ultra which also has 2 magnets dual speakers and 7.1 DTS 24 Bit audio chipset.

Own this for almost 5 days now.
Battery life is super good like using all social media apps, surfing got me almost 2 days!
Camera is just average, fingerprint works great.
Outlook very handsome and display is good.
Worth buying

Quality is good, but i don't like to take photos of this resolution, so I installed and tried few free camera apps and they work great. I can now choose even as low as 0.3MP

After 1 week with this phone here is my thought
Battery life is super good
Speaker output very loud and clear
Miui good as usual
Screen brightness and dim is good
Not yet found any lagging issue
Down side is camera is not that good

God feedback says the snapdragon 650 hexacore units does not have nfc. Not sure about the 652 octacore version.
