Updated to Global MIUI 8.5.1.0 Android 7.0 for around 1 and half month, no problem so far. 32GB version, SD650.
All apps run without issue. The IR remote function ok, OTG works, 4G fast connection, battery life is better, fast charging now has shown in notification when fast charger is plug in. When fully charged, notification light is off. Camera also seems become better.
All in all, it is a beast. Large beautiful screen, thin, metal back. Simply is a monster on it's own.

After Nougat update in India... All apps are lagging... Music stops in between for 1 sec and starts again... This happens every 2 minutes.... Also while watching movies (for which I bhought this giant) the movie pauses and sound keeps going on.... This happens every 3-4 minutes... Very bad update from Xiomi... PLEASE DO NOT UPDATE TO NOUGAT... it is lagging a lot.... I think Xiomi intentionally sent this update.... So that user buy new Mi Max 2....

hii...
i have MI Max prime ( ie. 128 GB ROM / 4 GB RAM ), accidentally it bricked. when i press the power button it vibrates and shows MI logo and closes then repeats the same continuously , but doesn't fully boot and open .. ..then i tried ti flush the ROM vie bootloader method that showed error . then i tried with EDL method, that showed "success" but it never opened when i press & hold the power button. it only shows MI logo continuously ,but doesn't power On the system . i flushed the ROM correctly. with official method and official ROM.. ...
plzz help. what was the problem . any other methods 🙏🙏🙏🙏 thanks in advance

Battery life has surely increased by the nougat update but the performance has gone down asphalt 8 has become laggy all the app are laggy the phone seems to be downgraded more than being upgraded

During this time, I always underestimate chinese products, but after I try this phone myself, I will not underestimate xiaomi phone anymore, Good Job Xiaomi Keep Go On

I still haven't received 7.0 nougat on my mi max prime.
Very slow update .
Should have to update till date,then only we can use new features
