Device: Mi Max 32GB
Location: MY
Android: 6.0.1 MMB29M
MIUI: MIUI 8.0.2.0
Problems:
1. Unable to login to apps which is tied to Google plus login.
2. When you click Google plus login, it just goes to an empty blank dark screen.
3. When u decide to click back, it says Google plus login cancelled.
Apps with the above mentioned problem:
1. Summoners Wars - Game
2. BIGO - app
Recently, apps like Instagram & Snapchat also has issues on Mi Max. Both the mentioned app has live recording mode(story/snap) which uses the camera. When you click the button to record, it hangs and throws a "unfortunately the app has stopped working" message.
All these happened after the update.
Bear in mind, when it was out of the box, no issues was encountered. This phone is barely a week old.
Following method had been tried with failure:
1. Cleared App data - failed
2. Reinstalled app - failed
3. Reset the phone - failed
4. Tried to do Mi Recovery - locked - failed
5. Tried to apply permission through Mi Unlock website - received error - can't even apply for permission - failed.
6. Emailed xiaomi support - was told they are aware - told to wait for next miui update. - failed
7. Emailed individual app developer - same reply as above.
So put it this way, you get a new phone.
Within the same week of purchase you encountered problems with no solution in near sight.
Would you be frustrated?
This should not even be happening to a brand new phone.
Note: I was a Redmi Note 3G user previously with no single issue encountered.
Trust me when I say, this is a very very bad experience.

Xiaomi note 4 vs xioami max which one whould prefer buying guys. If can explain the choice. Confused guy needing expert help to decide.

AnonD-295876, 29 Oct 2016Z2 is of flagship class but Mi Max is medium class.T here i... moreI'm not just basing on raw performance but the general performance of the device including Ui, Features, battery Life, Build Quality, Audio quality and Screen quality. ZUK Z2 has flagship specs but lacks a few features here and there but still a good phone over all. But I'm skeptical about it's battery life, build quality and Audio quality. that's why i consider Xiaomi Mi Max as an option. But... anyway... If you can buy ZUK Z2 with similar price to Xiaomi Mi Max it's no-brainer to go with ZUK Z2 despite its few shortcoming like lack of Micro SD card slot and average camera performance.
