Xiaomi has listed four methods in which Mi Max users can install the OTA update and fix their device’s Wi-Fi connectivity issues –
Method 1: Update from the Updater app (Recommended solution using mobile data, just 1.3 MB)
Go to Tools folder
Select Updater app
Press on “Check for updates”
Download the update and reboot the device
Method 2: Update your device via OTA zip
Download the OTA ZIP here
Connect your device to Windows PC
Copy the downloaded OTA zip file
Paste it to root directory of your device’s internal storage
Unplug the device from the PC
Open Tools folder from homescreen and select Updater app
Click on the menu button on top right, the “three dots button”
Click “Choose Update package”
Browse to the OTA ZIP which you copied to your internal storage
It will then ask to reboot to Flash Update the ROM
Method 3: Update via Recovery or Fastboot (Only for advanced users)

The build quality is patchy but it is something one can live with, but if you are looking for a great camera, look elsewhere. For everything else, it is great! It has a super long battery life!
I watched a movie on 4g (streaming) for 3hrs 40mins on 90% brightness and there was still 75% battery left.
So, you will be hardpressed to drain the battery in a day unless you are really into gaming.

I have been looking at this phone for a few days already was wondering if the camera is bad and most are suggesting that an update is needed. Do you think it would work perfectly with the app Camera 360? hope you could help me out as the Asus Z3 Ultra is just way too expensive. Thanks

Friends please let me know whether both Sim work on 4G network same time and Sim one slot not show preferred network is it only for 4G Sim two slot shows all 2g,3g and 4g.

It's very important to have a "removable battery" especially in light of the other phones melting down, catching fire or exploding!! Also want to see IP68 for this phone. Almost, but alas, no cigar!
