Than, the data thing, it is MIUI itself, where it will kill background running apps not using for long time. To avoid this, simply just lock the apps that you need it to run in background. This can be said as a known issue or simply is user guide issue, you need to manually allow apps to run in the background. Xiaomi intention is to save battery usage with this implementation, however, the side effect are important apps also get stopped and won't receive notification, even not receive internet.

The phone maybe great and all that but seriously what were you thinking if you could not even get a proper decent case done for it !! Bought one book case and it is one of the worst ever where the phone doesnt even stay in place... Should have looked into the total user needs before just taking out a phone with no proper case...

So one thing I noticed with WiFi speed - it's throttled for some reason. My friends and I tried doing a speed test (They have a 70 MB/s Download speed and 10 MB/s Upload, and my Mi Max 2 always read 35 MB/s download (on average) while my friends were able to read 68 to 70 MB/s.
Anyone else have this issue? or a fix for it?

My max2 used like tab is a best choice.Xiaomi will upgrade OS 8.0 or 8.1 with Miui 10 soon?

few issues after using this phone for 1 year , ?upgraded? from mi max 1
1/ very tiny and low earpiece volume , difficult to hear what the other person saying even on max volume - same issue with mi max 1
2/ same goes to the headphone volume , despite watching video using branded headphone on max volume
3/ the notification LED , OMG , com 'on xiaomi !! why only single white color ( so frustrating , why downgrade this xiaomi )
4/ even when i switched on wifi and mobile data , after leaving the wifi spot , the mobile data will occasionally disconnect , not knowingly that you have missed out so many messages ...unsure whether telco or phone prob...very very frustrating

Hello guys, I am purchasing a new phone, considering mi max 2 for the display and battery, wanna ask that does this phone works good on the 4G LTE within Malaysia? Good signal connectivity was 1 of the main reason for me to change my current phone, I rely on mobile data a lot.

Should i sell my mi max 2 now to buy mi max 3 ?
Is it too narrow in comparison to mi max 2 ?
I hate Samsung elongated (18 :9 ) s8 plus / s9 plus.
Being 7 inch mi max 3 shouldn't look like that.
