I really hope this phone is a huge improvement over the original mi max. That phone is great because I really love big phones (zte zmax pro user right here) but I want something bigger. Xiaomi keeping the 6.44" screen is fine, and I'm even okay with sticking with 1080p, but it would be nice to see a 1440p screen, even if it means a $20 extra cost over the processor. I was hoping to have a mediatek helio x30 or snapdragon 653 but the rumored snapdragon 660 is looking out to be a beast, and I want wait to see how it performs, most likely better than my snapdragon 617 which does alright but not all the time. Another small thing that I would love is the xiaomi mi note 2 button layout in the bottom. The home button also doubling as a fingerprint scanner and the two customizable led backlit buttons to the right and left. Another thing that I want improved is the camera. Mid-rangers are using 16mp now in days, so it would make sense if they used a slightly better camera on this one. Perhaps a specialized 12mp camera from the Samsung galaxy s7, I mean the moto g5 plus is $230 and it's using it. Maybe a 20mp camera for increased sharpness, or a dual camera setup like the xiaomi mi 5s plus. As for the front, it would be amazing to see a 8mp camera, and also with decreased aperture such as f1.9 or f1.8. These next two are kind of a stretch but it would be great to see that they would remove the metal backing in favor of a glass back for wireless charging. Another thing I would love to see is dual curve edges because it would be nice to see a mid-ranger rocking it. Last thing that I really hope to see and this one I'm really hoping is to see the change from micro usb to usb type c. Whenever I'm using my phone at dark and I want to charge it, I don't have to worry about which side is which. Well, I hope most, if not all of these come into the xiaomi mi max 2 because it would be a beast to see this come reality. This would basically be my dream phone because a big screen with flagship like specs is amazing!

        Dearest quality seeker enthusiasts.Yes,I forget to mention!!This,for sure,an uppermost affordable economical midrange class with having a NFC,better cameras,USB V.3.1 otg,and specially an unity of internal memory and not using the ugliest hybrid even could have moved to the hight ends category,but just if good Xiaomi decides to do it!!!Thanks anyway by offering these kinds of smart-device to satisfy the absolute majority of people in China,India,and the rest of the world to have the opportunities of having satisfying devices with the budget inexpensive income!!Hopefully Xiaomi,if it has the strong public relations listens and reads all people's opinions,views,comments,and gsmArena reviews for its own good!!To be unbiased and Frank,up to now just 6 of Xiaomi products have places in most people's hearts!The most important that even a midrange Y6 II of Huawei with understanding public wants and desires follows,is having two SIM slots and a dedicated external memory slot!!!The results of victory,undoubtedly is to harvest the sweetest ripe fruits!!!The most important:My recommendations are merely encouraging brands to make the best in favour of the both consumers and brands but absolutely destructive ugliest means!Thanks all mentioned names including fact-writing gsmArena.Justice Rights.Omid12Omidvar.is eager to see every sides satisfied and happy.

          mi max overall is a perfect phone for me, if there is improvement can be done, it should get camera performance upgrade due to its underpar camera result

            I love mi max series phone but from camera should be at least 8mp with flash like shelfee. It should be varies by snapdragon 821/835/Helio x30 if it costs above the INR 20,000/-.It is good for chatting and for battery backup

              Mi Max 2 should have 2.5D curve screen like Redmi Note 4 or 3D curve screen like Mi Note 2, amoled screen like Redmi Pro, Quad HD resolution(1440 x 2560),Quick Charge 3.0, dedicated micro sd(memory) slot, 14nm or 10nm chipset(Snapdragon 660 or Pinecone V970), front finger print scanner and support more LTE band.

                İt maybe good if that 2k screen and better material quality. İ wanna buy 6/128 for 2200 yuan. İt worths

                  No disrespect intended to all people who have posted wishing a smaller screen, but the original idea about the Mi Max IS to have an extra large screen, hence the many fans of this phone. If you need a smaller screen look at their other models. I am eager to see what they will update, hopefully the camera and separate micro SD slot.

                    Best if 6" screen, 6.44 is very big , 3/32gb,4/64gb,6/128gb, no hybrid sim slot, battery 5000,Quick charge, FHD Sceen with amoled,gorilla glass, 2.5curve,...improve camera,16/8mp,with front flash,...dual speaker in front/bellow,..price between 13k, 16k, 20k ...great to buy...

                      I love the mi Max, the only thing missing is NFC to use it with Android Pay, and the camera is quite slow to focus, it takes very long to scan QR codes for example. Those two things and it would be perfect!

                          Mi Max, the best phone I have in my life, The screen is great, I can not go back to 5.5
                          6.44 is the only size I can use now. I will buy the Max 2 as soon i can.

                          Plus there is a lot of option, LINEAGE OS android 7.1.1 work perfect, but the xioami.eu Roms are the best one, you can do so many new things with this one, I have no problems of any kind with this phone, and the price is great, the camera can be better, but I do not really take many photos,

The smart phone categorized by specs not price. Some brand sell their midrange with higher price.

                                      Dearest Xiaomi public relations.What about Mi Max 2 A with 64 gigs of Rom + 4gigs of RAM and Mi Max 2 B with 128 gigs of ROM and 6 gigs of RAM for preventing confusion and preventing some,....!!!?How is have a dedicated memory slot for both and not having this bad famed HIBRID that is selling one SIM as 2 SIM!!!?Nowadays even midrange affordable budget such a Huawei Y6 II and pro are using 2 separated SIM slot and a memory slot simultaneously on standby too!!!Why not you!!!
