That's where I buy mine. It's 6/128gb version. It's China phone but came with official global rom miui 10.3.2 version. Bootloader is unlocked, so I just flash twrp and rooted with magisk. Pop in TMobile (USA network) and got LTE with band 4. So far so good, battery life is amazing 12hrs sot easily. I still need to research more about anti roll back, so it's still on miui 10.3.2. I don't want to brick it early haha.

YTer frankie tech recently did a video on a rant on how they're not finishing it actually.

Also I’ve heard that MIUI is more stable and smoother than EMUI (Huawei’s) with snapdragon SoC. So more or less it is the same. -Mi Max 3 owner here

I have it for 10 months now an i have to say that is a great phone. I had mi max 2 and of course i bought mi max 3 because i loved the max series.I have the Chinese version and 2-3 weeks ago they update it to miui 11 .I am waiting for mi max 4 and am very disappointed that they still dont have a launch date.

XIAOMI !!!!!!!! Please bring out a Mi Max 4 - same big battery, better protection for the screen - Gorilla glass 5 please, and wireless battery charging. A ceramic back would also be very nice :). But whatever you do, please, we want it !!!
If you do NOT bring out the Mi Max 4, then please give the MI MIX 4 a large screen - 6.9"with a 5500 mAh battery

I'm optimistic Xiaomi will upgrade this Mi Max 3 to Android 10. Google signed agreement with EOMs to upgrade any phone that was manufactured with Android 8 to have 2 years upgrade. so that means we will have Android 10.
My phone still works very well after 10½ months.
Those of you destroying your phones woth rooting and other stuff continue

this is like my third comment, but i can't help but show my frustration for this series. if it wasn't cancelled, there easily would have been 3 phones released by now. a max 3 pro, max 4/4 pro and max 5 possibly on the way for 2020. it really is the only one of its kind. there are no other budget phablet phones on the market like this. and if this series continued that means there would have been even more aggressive competition than the phone market already has. i would have liked to see what other companies would have done to catch up or even compare with the max series.
