I bought this phone on December 2018. Its working fine till now. But, I got the bad unit. The volume rocker and power button are loose (very annoying), I try to put this phone into case, then its okay and done as it'd be.
I really disappointed about the build quality of mine.

The sound render is not stéreo even have 2 speakers ( right and left) because the power of the 2 speaker are not the same . One speaker is BETTER than the other !! HTCM 9 is better

Stop (auto)updating your devices, this is why: New Android updates are designed based on future newest superior hardwares. So they apply it to all ancient hardwares has a result of slowing down performances. Compagnies(Apple, Xiaomi) claim security patches and stupid new features to feed the "need for new". At the same times it's a con way to downgrade devices, and "feed hunger for new "better, faster", sell more device$, when yours will feel REALLY slowed down. Compagnies knows that. Therefore, why not engage a massive legal persuit, like with Apple, to claim refund, since there are not giving the possibility of regainning original stock firmware, and devices obviously slow down ??? Check for that !

I just don't trust Xiaomi. I installed 10.3.5.0
There are just giving ANY kind of food to "dogs" who just wanna eat anything. 3 days fulfillment.
So, I don't know if I'm hallucinating, but Pubg was super fine on Erangel, HD, high FPS, no lag at all while parachuting before landing....
But Sanhok was a tiny bit laggy before at high, but now it seems two bits, so will have to put this one to balance, and high fps....
Also is the grain of graphics textures more coarse ? I mean in all games ?
They only purpose us to make more money, no to increase performances, it might pass by lowering it.
Subtully....
I'm afraid MIUI 11 with there battery saving means: buy from us, we're cheaper than Apple. And saving battery have nothing to do with Mi Max 3, and with performances.

Deep thoughts about updates: 1- stupid 2- mi max is too good for Xiaomi, they wanna sell more tablets and more small phones, mi max just lowing there sellings, that's why there's no mi max 4 !
I wanted to keep Oreo....guess what happened ?
Anyways Pubg super good at HD high FPS on all maps, very fluid, Vicendy is more demanding so for that one only I put smooth or fluid, but High FPS.
I play Warnings HD Textures, all at max, 60 fps.
Maybe it's the Asphalt 9 game update that force me to go low graphics, because I've noticed the change before updating to August last MIUI update.
Asphalt Xtreme High perfect, RR3 high etc....
So Gamers, when 11 comes out, and you have no fear :), please tell me about performances, Pubg settings etc...

Mi Max 3 Will receive miui 11 in september !
I want to know if PUBG will STILL gonna be good at HIGH setting and 60 fps for all maps, exept Vicendy were I put low setting but 60 fps. Cause it Lost HD and HIGH FPS possibilities, in the game, After Pie update, but was back the update After.
And how will be Asphalt 9 Legend at HIGH settings , cause now with the latest update 10.3.5.0 it LOST FLUIDITY. WAS better before. Thanks to incoming Gamers feedbacks

I purchased today max 3. I received immediately an update MIUI 10.3.5.0 with August security patch. I want to know if the max 3 will receive android Q with MIUI 11?

I purchased Mi Max 3, 6G/128G fronTekithebasket, it is Global ROM, very happy with this one . I had Mi Max2, and basically very happy with all Mi Max products.
