I'm so disappointed with max 3, they already confirmed 6.9 inch with 18:9. Why they never confirmed the 7 inch with 16:9 for Max 3?

Just compare data on screen area provided by gsmarena. It would take 6.7 inch 16:9 screen to be bigger than 6.9 inch 18:9 screen. 6.9in/18:9 wil be significantly bigger than 6.44in/16:9. In reality yes, screen will be longer, but width will be pretty much the same. That is where these extra inches went.

It was designed specifically for people who didn't want a flagship phone but were just interested in an affordable phablet with a big screen big battery and decent mid range specs and great construction. If you want a flag ship phablet it's not going to happen for $250. Take out your wallet and prepare $900 for the flagship phablets.
