Just received the MIUI 12 for this smartphone. I love this soooo much. its been 17 months since I bought 4 of the Mi Max 3 (two 64gb and two 128gb) for me and my family and its been nothing but good things about this phone. Thanks soo much Xiaomi. Note: Xiaomi please stop the 6.67" smartphones, please make it a little bigger

So how's the DAC (audio jack) on this? Gsmarena only did a cursory technical measurement and the only subjective source I can find on this is a small forum thread with 2 people saying that it sucks. Bit and khz would also be nice.

Those phones have narrower aspect ratios. Mi max 3 is more "squarish"
And anyone who knows math knows that with the same diagonal length of the screen (like phones are measured commercially), the more "square", the more real area it will have.

If you break the screen you'll realize that it's not as thick as other brands/models

This is a big screened phone,it follows to reason that the screen is more prone to fracture than smaller devices with lesser screen real estate..
The onus is on you to keep your device safe,no amount of Gorilla Glass will save your phone from careless usage..

In my opinion with Redmi note 8-9+ , and K30. POCO F2 series phones reaching 6'4-6'67 screen size now there is no point of a seperate (useable sized) phone model.

This is an exceptional phone for its practical large screen size. Perhaps, it is time to speed up its connectivity and resolution. Looking forward to a new generation of large screen phones. Why not MI Max 3 Pro? I am sure many users are waiting for a new release with new Snapdragon chip.

Xiaomi please make Mi Max 4. I have Mi Max 3 and I wont to change my phone to Mi Max like only. The best will be: with same or little bit bigger screen with a bit better scree-to-body ratio. Speed, but it isn't be top processor. My dream is OIS in camera in both foto and video modes.

Anonymous, 17 Jul 2020Don't uodateThank you. I've never been so much disappointed in a phone. Yes the screen size is great, Cpu speed is ok. But the screen's maximum brightness is revolting.. barely that of half a regular phone (and i'm not talking about auto-brightness here)
Wifi reception, antenna reception are both weak... 1-2 bars weaker that any other phone I have.
The screen is physically very fragile and cracks under very light load. Weaker than any other chinese phone I had. Digitizer is VERY thin.. too thin actually
